How do "Magnetic Turbines" work?

aren't all turbines Magnetic? isn't the the properties of electromagnetism that make turbines work at all?

This whole thread is a joke to begin with.
Yay! Somebody are gets it!

Nitrogen - Even More Prone to Explosion
Nitrogen is most of what makes up Earth's atmosphere... You know, the air? It's not flammable or explosive at all.
like most chemistry class dropouts the first thing he probably thought of was nitroglycerin.

edit: oh right he already said nos.. nevermind.

Cobalt but only because I recall a Sonic book I had when Dr Kintobor said sonic had gone cobalt blue.

Sorry, but speaking as a licensed radiological technologist, anything involving ionizing radiation, those are dangerous forms of electromagnetic radiation and don't do anything good as forms of electricity.

Where is the option for Methane? How can you not put Methane as a new viable fuel source? It'll get the economy going with all the people required to grow the fuel-crops and man the refineries. It combusts more completely than gasoline, leaving behind fewer molecules of Carbon Dioxide, and it has a higher Hydrogen to Carbon ratio, meaning more energy released from it's chemical bonds.

Mr. Fusion, so we can replace those nasty land fills with something nicer and more productive for the soil, like Sewage waste.

And speaking as an easily agreeable chap who knows absolutely nothing about the aformentioned subject, I second that, if only to avoid making more of a fool than I already have. Plus there was no way I WASN'T picking Mr. Fusion. It can produce 1.21 gigawatts from only a banana peel, some soda, and some other crap.

If the Mr. Fusion was possible it would work, we have alot of garbage in this world it would definitely get rid of landfills and since we still create garbage no matter what it would create a cleaner world i guess

I meant the Nitrogen as in Nitrous Oxide, the special boost tey puts in teh cars to makes dem go faster
I hate to break it to you, but the energy released through NO[sub]2[/sub] (and every other exothermic chemical reaction) comes from energy that was stored in the molecule when it was formed.

In short, every reaction other than atomic fission or fusion takes just as much energy to prepare is it produces.

It's how chemistry and molecular physics work.

Also; magnetic turbines? What do you think we use now?

Energy can not be created or destroyed, it merely changes from one form to another.

Or, in the case of nuclear fission/fusion it changes to and from matter.

Mr Fusion. Humans are making enough mess of this planet anyway. having a solution that both gets rid of hard to breakdown garbage and create energy, is one of the best ideas there.

For the foreseeable? Nuclear Fission. In say, 50 years? Fusion hopefully.
Fission is totally out of the question. To meet worldwide energy demands, you would need to build a new plant every 4 days for 20 years. Do you know how long it takes to build a nuclear power station and how much the buggers cost?

Not to mention the massive problem of radioactive waste and the fact that the fuel for the reactors is, just like fossil fuels, available in a limited amount and WILL run out.

Hydrogen.
Cars are prone to explosions with a flame around, anyways, and when the exhaust will be water, why not?
Hydrogen is far, far more dangerous than petrol. Contrary to what Hollywood retards would have you believe, cars do not just explode. The tank has to be heated up for a long time before it will go off, and even then, it's the pressure causing the explosion, with a secondary explosion caused by vaporized petrol. The tanks is much more likely the simply split and allow the petrol to leak out.

If a hydrogen tank got cracked, you would get a jet of hydrogen gas, which would be extremely likely to ingnite. Imagine a 10 metre jet of fire erupting from the bonnet of the car and continuing to burn for half an hour.

In case teh ppls haves nots figures its outs already, this are be a joke thread, but on a serious note i would choose mr. fusion because all i would have to do is throw in a couple of bad movies (transformers 2 and xmen origins for example) and it would last for years and years.

Lemons. As they are naturally acidic, a small voltage can be produced by placing two electrodes of different metals (say, copper and zinc) in the lemon. Get enough lemons, and hey presto! Lots of electicity. As an added bonus, the lemon trees absorb excess CO2.

In fact, any citrus fruit could be used, so bring on the oranges and limes, too.

See, you tell me to imagine it, and now I want hydrogen even more so I could have the off-chance of seeing cars explode on an average day.

But it would get people to be more careful when driving, or at least put a little chlorine in the gene pool.
