Well, the game just came out 2 days ago and I've not seen one topic on it at all on these forums and I just wanted to get a sense of peoples thoughts on the game for those who got it.

For myself I am enjoying the game for the most part, some of the nitpicks of the game on my end though are that the AI opponents just seem a little too perfect, it seems to me back in ssx 3 that the AI had just as much probability of screwing up during events as I did, but in this game they always land their jumps, always navigate the courses that I had to restart several times due to falling down chasms, and always seem to get million point trick scores within a few minutes after starting the events. Because of this I wouldn't strive to get first in all the events and settle on 3rd just to be done with the events and move on, which I think isn't a good thing for a competitive game like this.

The above wasn't really that prevalent through the world tour phase, and only reared its ugly head during race events which, which I will admit are my weak point of the game, I just like the trick events much more placing 1st a majority of the time and 2nd probably only once or twice.

Other than that I'm really enjoying the game so far and am digging the multiplayer of the game extensively, so if anyone wants to add me on the PSN(I'm still calling it that) my id tag is darkstone100.

edit: well the poll is screwed up, just choose the 3rd option if you didn't like the game for various reasons.

I've enjoyed the game immensely. It just grabs you and hooks you and I cannot stop playing. Just trying to perfect a run, everything is great. And most reviewers complained about the 'Survive It!' mode, which I actually enjoyed. Restarting was never a chore, you just felt more motivated to beat the course.

Fantastic game!

Its a very addicting and charming game which reminds me why I got into games in the first place as it resembles the 'old school' extreme sports games I loved like Tony Hawks and Mat Hoffmans. I played the demo a lot because me and my friends kept out-doing each other on the Trick It run, but I plan to get it in the near future, probably around Summer when Uni ends and game releases become lacking.

I've seen a lot of it, but I'm waiting for it to come down in price. It looks fantastic except for the variety of tricks, but that's just what I've seen.

I played the demo and liked it but I just don't see £40's worth of content, but I feel the same for most sport/racing games. Also more broadly speaking, I dislike EA intently.

I bought Skate 3 on release because I'm a fan of the series and I really liked the look of the new online features, plus it gave me a reason to play my console. It turned out however I couldn't play it online because I wasn't old enough despite the game being like 12+ or some shit, not to mention I could play Battlefield: Bad Company 1 & 2 online, which are higher rated games. I contacted EA, got a bunch of shit in return and it still doesn't work to this day despite speaking to numerous Ewoks. I DID GET A FREE VOUCHER AND A 48 HOUR PASS FROM XBOX THOUGH :DDDDDDDDDDD. No seriously, fuck EA. Not only do they act like entitled pricks with online passes and day one DLC on fucking everything, but it seems everyone has had at least one bad run in with EA, there comes a point where that just becomes bad business.

I spoilered this so as not to go off-topic, it seems a lot of threads about any game with the EA tag on it get derailed due to hatred. xD

But yeah, I'm not gonna get it until it comes down in price. In fact, I might just go ahead and be a prick and pick it up pre-owned in spite. It might do anything, but it'll get my dick hard.

Never played a snowboarding/sports game in my life really, but I'd seen some impressions up to release, saw IGN's positive review, downloaded the demo, and promptly committed to buying it four days later.

One of the most entertaining games I've played in the last year, for sure, I think I've just realized I love the sense of speed and jumps and satisfaction of crazy snowboarding.

Only real criticism is the abundance of bottomless pits, which were of course absent in the demo; kind of ruins some of the flow to land a huge jump right into a pit or briefly lose control and slide into one.
