I like them, but none of them are especially funny.

I think I'd have to say Hot Fuzz, World's End, Shaun Of The Dead.

Paul would probably tie with Hot Fuzz if it were part of the set.

I haven't seen World's End yet, but between Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, I've gotta go with Hot Fuzz. Something about SOTD just never really clicked with me. It's okay, definitely worth a view, but it seemed sort of... thin, I suppose is the best way to describe it. I always had a sort of "what, that's it?" feeling when the credits rolled. Hot Fuzz, meanwhile, just feels like more of a complete experience- the main plot and the character arcs all tie up in a neat and satisfying way, the jokes are funny, and the action sequences are the greatest fucking things that have ever been filmed. Seriously, the final battle of Hot Fuzz is absolutely jizz-inducing in its awesomeness.

On a tangentially-related note, is anyone else extremely bummed that Spaced isn't on Netflix anymore?

Hot Fuzz was the one that got me into both Simon Pegg/Nick Frost and buddy-cop films in general.
Not to mention that it was filmed and set really close to where I live.

I had to give it to Hot Fuzz, I love all three movies but Hot Fuzz made me laugh the most. Maybe it was my enjoyment of Point Break and just in general the whole buddy cop genre that they spoofed. Maybe it was the Pythonesque amound of violence. Not sure, it just was the most effective to me.

Every part of Hot Fuzz is brilliant. It's pretty much a classic at this point. Shaun of the dead was decent and I saw World's End and it was decent, but Hot Fuzz is just the best.

Hot Fuzz is an incredible film. I never tire of it.

World's End, on the other hand, was dreary nonsense. It's one of those "if you haven't had this experience, you won't like it" films, and I found it intolerable. Frankly, Paul was better.

I'd definitely say Shaun of the Dead. Not that the other two are bad, just I much prefer that one. I'd even go as far to say that it's the best zombie movie there is. (Come at me bro).

Anyway I like it mainly because everyone in it is an idiot, yet the zombies aren't comedic and remain a constant, real, threat.

But, unlike most other comedies, it subverts the trope that "things are going to be alright". They're idiots, and they're horribly punished for being idiots.
I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone willing to argue about Shaun of the Dead being a great Zombie movie, because it's a fucking classic. :) Maybe not /the/ best, but I can't think of anything better than it off the top of my head. Funnilly enough, it came out at about the same time as the remake of Dawn of the Dead and was planets away better than that.

OT: #1 Shaun of the Dead
#2 Worlds End
#3 Hot Fuzz

There's nothing wrong with Hot Fuzz, it's still a great movie, just I was never into the sorts of movies it was aping, so I get less out of it than the other two, but it's still really good. Edgar Wright should really nail it on Ant Man.

Ehh, don't think it's too fair to dock points for that, sure if you didn't like it fine, but going out and getting rat arsed is a pretty universal experience. Not that there's anything wrong with not wanting to do that, but most people have, which makes it an everyman experience.

I pretty much agree with the poll results spot on. Hot Fuzz was the best film, but only slightly better than Shawn of the Dead. Both are brilliant films though. World's End is good but not quite in the same league as the first two- perhaps it was a bit too unorthodox?

I enjoyed Hot Fuzz the most, but I can definitely appreciate the writing for The World's End. To me, it felt like it had the most thought put into it, while the other two were just well done comedic send-ups of zombie/cop films.

Which of the three is your favorite?
I can't comment on The World's End as I haven't seen it yet, but my favourite out of the first two is... wow, this is a really hard choice. Can I cop out and say neither, as I like them both equally for different reasons?

Also, it's the 'Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy' or the 'Three Flavour Cornetto trilogy'. Simon Pegg might play the lead role, but all three are a collaboration between Pegg, Frost and the director Edgar Wright (who also directed Scott Pilgrim).

Out of all of them, I do prefer Shaun of the dead, but they aren't my favourite films, and I went to see The World's end and was disappointed with the film on the whole, by far my favourite Simon Pegg endeavour is the sitcom Spaced. If you haven't checked it out, you really should.

Love them all, but at this moment The Worlds End is at the top. Better story and characters than the other two. But its such a close run thing that not even a photo finish could tell which movie comes where. All three tie in first place. :)

You live near Wells, you have my sympathy. Did you know that many of stories and characters in Hot Fuzz wers actually based on people living in Wells from the 60s to the early 80s.

I have yet to see At World's End, but of the other two, I largely prefer Hot Fuzz.

While Shaun of The Dead does have good comedy and drama going on in it, I felt like they never quite meshed. When the movie wanted to lean towards one, it seemed to act as if it wasn't the other at all.

Hot Fuzz might have less of an issue as it has much less drama overall than Shaun, but regardless, Hot Fuzz is by far one of the best comedies in recent years, in my opinion.

It's not a Simon Pegg trilogy
It't the Cornetto Trilogy!!!

And OP, I made a thread about this maybe 3 months ago :D
But it died down :(

As I said there, I won't vote, 3 very different movies, all have their strenghts and weaknesses.
I actually liked all 3 very much, I think that was sort of strange since there were 3 different genres, but then again they were all connected by humour so I guess that was the thing that kept them all together for me :)

By 'really close' I mean like an hour drive... So not that close... But a lot further than somewhere like America. Was there last weekend in fact...

Hot Fuzz. It's a genuine classic and easily up there in my top ten movies list. I never tire of watching it.
The dialogue, the jokes, the acting. All of it is superb. "Arrest me, I'm a murderer! I SLASH prices!"(paraphrased).
I'd argue that it's better than any of the movies it takes inspiration from.

Shaun of the Dead...Eh, everyone hyped it to hell but considering I consider Zombie movies a blight upon society I didn't like it too much. I give them kudos for the ending though.

The World's End...Watched it last night, not a good movie by any stretch. Not a bad one. Just...A movie. One I'll never re-watch. The ending act felt really stupid. Like. "Oh, right. There's supposed to be an ending. D'oh."

The World's End. Shaun of the Dead was ruined to me by the still ongoing zombie boom and Hot Fuzz dragged on in the end. The World's End had the perfect mix of comedy, action and drama and it hit me in a right place. I went to see it with a group of friends, and we could almost see ourselves being the characters on screen in 20 years time.
