I know, it's obvious Sonic Team are a bunch of idiots masquerading as game designers, but for god's sake, at least make the new games at least a little bit bearable.
For all extensive purposes, I am seriously pondering suing them for trauma.
I played Sonic the Hedgehog, didn't buy it, GOD no, but played it.
For the brief ninety second demo it became apparent that the story was and indeed my deductions were correct upon wikipedia, a furry fanfic.
let me tell you how. Sonic the Hedgehog is in love with a human girl (which wikipedia is quick to hide) her name is Princess Pea- I mean Elise. She gets captured by eggman and the whole thing gets messed up as hell when a new woodland creature, just in case you weren't sick of the sheer NUMBER of them, shows up, his name is Silver and calls Sonic the Iblis Trigger. That's when I dropped the controller and backed slowly away from the videogame aisle.
It may not be what most people call "fair" to judge a game just by the few minutes you were playing it, but I was foolish enough to have gotten Sonic: Unleashed for Christmas.
Anyway, this has all drawn me to the firm conclusion that it is not fun, will never be and I really should find a certain friend who suggests Sonic games as frequently as he breathes and shove a baseball bat down his throat.
This being said, I'm interested to hear what you people think of the Sonic Games that fueled this rant. Like him? Hate him? Smart and never cared? Post here.
