I i am a SW fan(well there's your problem) and i like the story of the universe, even if Georgie boy screwed up the prequels and the expanded universe is full of holes, but what ruins it for me is The Force Unleashed storyline because it make luke skywalker useless.

why would you have a 20 something guy who is force sensitive when you have a guy who is powerful enough to kill both darth vader and darth sidious.....and how would the empire exist with overkill on legs against it.

soo what i am asking is do you personaly consider The force unleashed storyline canon and what would happen if the entire community of SW fans just said it isn't?

In my mind, it isn't. I have this uncanny ability to disregard anything I don't like when it comes to fictional canon. Midichlorians, you say? Never heard of 'em.

Oh hell no, not in a million years, I would rather acknowledge the existence of Jar Jar, the prequels trilogy and subsequent cartoon series before I would ever even consider the Force Leashed remotely cannon. I feel like I need a shower just to have even thought about that game in this context.

Stupid story. Stupid main character. Stupid gameplay. Everything is wrong about that game. If you make a game called The Force Unleashed then at least have more force powers than a Jedi Knight game FFS.

I remember the bitter disappointment, taking it back that afternoon to get my money back, then re-installing Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 on the PC to remember a good Star Wars Jedi game.

I feel angry now just thinking about it. I hate that game. GRRRRR!

The first one maybe could be considered cannon if it is established before gameplay began that this is a story being told by an old Jedi to young padawans. If that were the case it would be easier to accept Starkiller being able to be as powerful as he is and yet still get killed at the end while the same people who killed him are killed by a Jedi who wouldn't be able to last 2 minutes against Starkiller.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuut that's not really the case so...

They are both canon, to my knowledge. If the over-the-top force powers bother you, just say to yourself that its a stylistic choice. After all, in TFU universe, ALL the Jedi do stuff like Starkiller, including Vader and Luke. And given the Jedi in the prequel trilogy and cartoon series, this depiction is probably pretty close to the truth.

I could go with the first one being in but the second they cloned/unkilled Starkiller, the second game is completely out.

It's obviously not canon, at least not the ending in which he kills Darth Vader or anything that contradicts the films or any official comic book.

Its confirmed canon, as far as I'm aware. (But you could always just ignore it.)

I treat only the stuff that makes sense as canon. Therefore:

TFU1: Canon
TFU2: Non-canon.
Clone Wars graphic novels:Canon
Clonw Wars Cartoon: Infinities.

I like to think those games weren't canon, but then again, I like to think that Shadows of the Empire is canon.

Well I think the force unleashed is more canon with dragon ball Z with all the crazy abilities Darth Vader's apprentice has.

Nope, Genndy Tartakovskys Clone Wars-cartoon is the only true canon.

What, in reality? Gameplay isn't, story unfortunately is(exept if it contradicts with movies). Wikipedia will back me up.

That's generally how the Expanded Universe works, anyway. It's why there's so many comic books and other media that are factored into the timeline.
