It's just a word, same as tree, and rock, and televangelist . Why the hell is this word anymore offensive than these ones?Inverse Skies said:At least block out the swear word please... we don't really need that language promoted here on the forums.
I agree, we really should all watch our language, this is the Internet after all...Inverse Skies said:At least block out the swear word please... we don't really need that language promoted here on the forums.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep the forums a civil place.iain62a said:It's just a word, same as tree, and rock, and televangelist . Why the hell is this word anymore offensive than these ones?
I don't care about the word. ****. There, I said it. What makes this word more offensive than any other?
You tell me.
What's wrong with talking about rugby players in possession of three copper nanotubes?Inverse Skies said:At least block out the swear word please... we don't really need that language promoted here on the forums.

1) Quit telling him how to run his own "show", I'm sure he's capable of that himself.
2) I highly doubt yahtzee is going to see your VERY well argued post and suddenly change his mind and notice how he truly isn't funny for you and should chance his ways. ¬_¬

Ummmmm..... what? It this an inside joke about rugby? Because that's only really popular in NSW and QLD here in Aus and I'm Victorian...Lukeje said:What's wrong with talking about rugby players in possession of three copper nanotubes?
A 'Hooker' is a position in rugby (they 'hook' the ball out of the scrum). And 'copper nanotubes' have a rather unfortunate abbreviation; CuNTs [http://scienceblogs.com/twominds/2008/08/why_nonnative_english_speaks_s.php].Inverse Skies said:Ummmmm..... what? Lol, see? I wasn't up with the lingo! I thought rugby positions were things like 5/8ths and... kicker or something along those lines. Cu for copper, NT for NanoTube.... yeah that's an unfortunate abbreivation. I still don't like the original post for using that language (Mum won't be looking over my shoulder though, I don't live with my parents) but I still think its inappropriate.Lukeje said:A 'Hooker' is a position in rugby (they 'hook' the ball out of the scrum). Though I do agree with you in your original post; I don't really want someone like my mum to be looking over my shoulder as I go to the home page and see a thread with a title like this.
And disapointment... here i thought there would be a pic or a link to onelazy_bum said:Certainly gets your attention though...Radelaide said:You may wanna change the name of your thread, just to censor the word. The mods don't take well to such language in titles.![]()
