Each comedy series needs a running gag. So long as it is not used to much, a running gag can get progressivly more funny each time its used. The hooker joke is a good example. "He killed Kenny. You bastard." in South Park is a bad example due to overusage.

Running gags are a staple of comedy. Shit, how many seasons did it take for them to stop killing Kenny every episode on South Park? Even that pops up from time to time.

Yahtzee will do what he wants, when he wants for as long as he still gets paid to do it. No matter how much ppl will argue about how bad what he is doing may be, there will always be a large enough fanbase to keep him doing it. You are one insignificant little internet fly, that Yahtzee doesn't give a flying fuck about. I would tell you to let the man do his job, but it's not like you could stop him anyway. So just drop the issue, what you think really doesn't matter to Yahtzee.

I quite liked his 'more holes than...in 19th century Whitechapel' piece.
Leave him be. Knows what he's doing.
Yeah, I giggled at that one too ^^
It's great that you sometimes need a brain and shit to get his jokes.

EDIT: And at least change the biased poll to maintain some professionalism.

At least block out the swear word please... we don't really need that language promoted here on the forums.
It's just a word, same as tree, and rock, and televangelist . Why the hell is this word anymore offensive than these ones?

I don't care about the word. ****. There, I said it. What makes this word more offensive than any other?

You tell me.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep the forums a civil place.

What's wrong with talking about rugby players in possession of three copper nanotubes?

I've yet to not chuckle to myself at one of Yahtzee's jokes.

1) Quit telling him how to run his own "show", I'm sure he's capable of that himself.
2) I highly doubt yahtzee is going to see your VERY well argued post and suddenly change his mind and notice how he truly isn't funny for you and should chance his ways. ¬_¬
3) GTFO >:)
Close the poll now the entire thing can be summerised in these brillant 3 points

Also how about a little less bias in the poll section it hardly makes for a balanced debate.

A 'Hooker' is a position in rugby (they 'hook' the ball out of the scrum). And 'copper nanotubes' have a rather unfortunate abbreviation; CuNTs [http://scienceblogs.com/twominds/2008/08/why_nonnative_english_speaks_s.php].

Though I do agree with you in your original post; I don't really want someone like my mum to be looking over my shoulder as I go to the home page and see a thread with a title like this.

Lol, see? I wasn't up with the lingo! I thought rugby positions were things like 5/8ths and... kicker or something along those lines. Cu for copper, NT for NanoTube.... yeah that's an unfortunate abbreivation. I still don't like the original post for using that language (Mum won't be looking over my shoulder though, I don't live with my parents) but I still think its inappropriate.

Does it really bother you enough to make a thread about it? A joke is a joke. I'm gonna go ahead and guess even if he used it in the next fifty reviews, you'd still watch him. I guess I'm just missing the point of the thread. I voted no, simply because it doesn't really matter.

You may wanna change the name of your thread, just to censor the word. The mods don't take well to such language in titles.
Certainly gets your attention though... :p
And disapointment... here i thought there would be a pic or a link to one
