It is official my fellow Escapists, (or at least I hope it is THIS time) Duke Nukem Forever will see the light of day. My question is merely this what are your thoughts on this 14 year development cycle game finally coming out? I personally can not wait to see the finished product and get my own copy.

Honestly don't care about the game, I haven't cared about any FPS games for over a decade now. Though I will follow the news about it, if it turns out horrible it'll be hilarious so reading peoples reaction will probably be interesting, but I very highly doubt I will ever try the game.

I never played a Duke Nukem game, so I can't really get too excited about it. A lot of people seem to be dying to get the game, so I might check it out if it's on 360.

Honestly I hope it the best, but I doubt I'll buy it. Probably when the price drops.

With how long this game has been developed it'll either be a fantastic throwback to FPS games of old, when speed, fun, and over the top were big. And honestly that would be great.

Or it could be inconsistent, bloated, outdated, and just not very fun.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see how things turn out.

It's going to be an unoriginal, generic shooter living off of nostalgia and memes alone.

Im looking forward to it. I dont expect anything revolutionary, but as long as it feels like Duke Nukem, I will be satisfied I think. Though I am wondering if its really just a remake of 3D, since they remade the Cycloid Emperor football field boss fight.

I picked up Duke Nukem 3D on the xbla and loved it, I'll probably get this just for the legendary nature of it.

I actually like the Duke Nukem games but this game has been in development so long, been delayed so many times, and had too many rumors and such about it that can never live up to expectations and will be underwhelming.

But wouldn't it be wild if there ended up being some of the stuff from the zero punctuation review in it?

Hell, it could just be exactly like 3D but new levels and Id be happy. Considering I have been playing Duke Nukem 3D for over 12 years and still enjoy it.

I didn't even know about until Yahtzee's review, and even then I had to look it up to see just what he was talking about. On the other hand, I like the Terminator + Commando + Bruce Campbell * Sgt. Johnson to the John McClainth power.

Who know? Could be entertaining.
