Damn, if another Duke Nukem thread pops up in the near future, I'll commit some sort of a nasty crime to relieve my anger...
Also I voted don't care, because I have barely been paying attention to Duke Nukem, and have never played one of his games, so I don't know what all the excitement is about.

I really don't get all the hype. I never played a Duke Nukem game, and I doubt it's gonna be as bloody amazing as people hope it is.
I liked Duke 3D when I first played it. I even bought it when it was released on XBLA. I played some of the interim Tomb Raider-style games in the time after Duke 3D (Time To Kill, Land Of The Babes) and thought they were horrible. Duke Nukem 3D barely holds up to the test of time but can still be fun. However, the ZP video raised the fears we all hold. Will "Duke Nukem Forever" (Is it funny the acronym for "Forever" are the same letters as NASCAR's "Did Not Finish" acronym?) be the samey grey-brown shooter that we've been seeing for the past 10 years? Will Duke's brand of "male" comedy hold up? Will anyone care enough after almost 15 years? I will wait and see but I voted that he's been gone too long to be great. Duke could still pull off "good", IMHO without really trying but do we want just "good"?

Honestly I couldn't care less, I've seen some of the trailers and they looked really generic. Of course I'm open for it to wow me but I just can't imagine how it could, 12 years (or something like that) of pissing about shows that they have no ideas and know that the bar is too high for a franchise with no real room to innovate in the current universe.
Again this is me jumping to conclusions, It's just my hopes aren't high and they will remain at their current altitude until they show something cool.

Duke Nukem has been dead to me for years. I don't even remember when I stopped caring about this stupid game. ...come to think about it, I don't think I ever cared. I think I'd grown out of Duke Nukem by the time this game was even first announced.
Surprised, at first- then I saw the gameplay and stuff from PAX.
Looked wholly "ordinary" Like that Wolfenstein reboot.
So whatever, if I want to play Duke Nukem, I'll get the Duke Nukem 3D port on XBLA.

As someone who's never played any Duke games, yet has heard so much about how great they are, and has always somehow found himself glancing over articles and media relating to Did Not Finish, I'm sorry, Duke Nukem Forever - such an original jest there, I tell ya - I'm intrigued to see how this will turn out.

It's basically about Duke. All these people going on about bullshit with gameplay have no idea what made Duke Nukem so awesome. It was Duke, the game was about ripping the shit out of aliens while Duke fires off one-liners and taunts his enemies, and it was manly. Really manly.The Red Ribbon said:
