That idyllic place they're currently staying at better be overrun soon, FORCING them to move on to Fort Benning with or without Sophia. Also, some characters deserve to be munched on...they may as well be dead as they're definitely dead weight.

Despite what some people had say about it (I looking at you Caramel Frappe!) I have been enjoying the second season so far regardless of the slow pacing. Before you ask I don't watch alot of live action shows so my taste in shows is somewhat different.

I like it, but the second season really needs to step it up a notch. Season 2 has been mostly drama only, which gets real tiresome after a while. Which is a big shame.

I still prefer the comics though.
You read the comics so you know, do you get the feeling there rushing through the story by packing all this drama in now? Maybe its to set up a gory ending into a darker season 3?

I don't know where it goes since I only watch the show as it progresses but like you said this drama is too much and if it keeps pissing me off with scenes for no reason other then drama what's the point.
Honestly, it's worse. They're taking it too slow. The comic is known for it's breakneck pace but still being followable.
But they pair this up by combining too much story into one season. The whole Rick realising about the Shane x Lori afair doesn't happen until volume 13 in the comics(which you can see as season13). The constant story about Sophia is trash and slows things down even more.

Season3, if they're going to follow the comicbook, which they've been doing up untill now, is going to be more of the same. They find a hiding spot where they'll probably stay for about 2-4 more seasons.

The sound editing in the last few episodes was horrible...
And what's with all the religious stuff.. that wasn't there in the first season.

Besides those details I'm liking it, but I'm a comic nerd so I'll have to add i prefer the comics.

It was hella awesome in the first season! It totally blew me away how a show with a low budget and downplayed previews turned out to be one big reason why nerds still watch tv. Though for the second season, it has strayed from being a faithful adaption and is taking its sweet ass time to make any real progression. I mean, there's PLENTY of action that has yet to be seen and the producers are just fooling around, trying to milk the franchise.

Still awesome though

It's decent, though not nearly as good as the comic book. The acting is a little weak, and the last episode of the last series was terrible. The first episode was genius though.

This second season is really mediocre.

The dialogue is terrible and the only good characters are Glenn, Dale and Daryl, the rest is ok or bad.
Pacing is bad and there are tons of little mistakes that turn off the audience.

Clichés plot and cases doesn't help either. I know the series isn't just about zombies, but I don't care about the betrayal or pregnancy of the slut for example.

1st 3 episodes of 1st season was awesome (the first was the best one), the other 3 episodes were just good. This second season is just ok.

They should learn how to make good dialogues and character development and connection with Breaking Bad.
What this guy says
terrible flow
stalled story
fuckin kids(the lost one, the shot one and the baby are all things I dont care about)
idiot balls
boring long drawn out shot of brooding/quiet that doesnt even set a mood
misused zombies/ not unique, there more of a convenience really to make the stupid situation they put themselves in seem more intense.

Also....why the fuck is everybody so mean to the old guy?
glen got laid, big whoop and the farmers not gonna like it and the its just stallin until the barn breaks open but by that time I wont even care anymore.

So overall its half, 1st season awesome
but to just count second season=boring/terrible shit.

You got that too? Good, I though I was going crazy. I hate the way they crank up all the background noise so it's like having pre-recorded nature noises being blasted into your ears by headphones at full volume. What is especially annoying is when they do it inside. Come on, we're inside a house!! There are no Goddamn chirping crickets in a gorram house!!

Then they have to dim the background noise whenever a person talks, so it leads to a really disconcerting up-down-up-down-up-down in the sound whenever there is a conversation.

The Lord of the Rings movies at least followed the books. It's not like they had to go compete in a drag race during the middle of the movie or something like that.

The Walking Dead TV show died for me on the roof top where they had to deal with that racist guy. That's where I lost all hope in it being a faithful adaptation. They could call it "Butt Blasters In Space," and it would be an equally fitting title.
.... I would totally pay for a 10 minute short-movie about a drag-race between the Members of the Fellowship. Can you imagine Gimli in a monster truck vs Legolas in a nitro-boosted buggy? That would be totally awesome. But yeah, good point.

I vote the racetrack be through Moria, what with the bottomless floor and all. Imagine driving across the bridge... brrr

Yeah, do the people act the same in the Comic? I mean in the TV show all the characters('cept maybe Glenn, who's sees a chance to steal a cool car and takes it) act like they are in a TV Drama show. Like when Rick decides to go back for the racist dude, it pretty much goes like this.

Rick : "I'm going back into the Zombie Infested city to rescue that guy"

Lori : Why?

Rick : 'cos

Shane : Why would you do that, he's a ass-hole, why save him?

Rick : 'cos, I am.

No basic reasoning or anything. They just make totally stupid decisions for the sake of creating more tension.

well if you are a goody good guy that honestly became a cop to serve & protect instead of beating up punks and shooting people without persecution you may not be responsible for a human's death.
Of course it was stupid to go back. But the lawful good never are certainly clever.

I find myself liking it less and less every episode. I think I'll just quit watching it. It seemed to have so much potential at the start, but they just completely failed to make me care about any of the characters. Too many cliches, not enough good writing. When the most interesting characters are the zombies, you're doing it wrong.

The characters from the comic act nothing --I repeat NOTHING-- like the characters from the show. In fact, if there was a survival contest between the comic book WD and the TV WD; the tv WD would lose before they got out of the city limits.

Some episode suck, others are great. It is a very inconsistent series. My favorite character is actually Daryl, who is not even in the comic book (I guess he could be the redneck Tyresse?)
