I'm enjoying the show on the whole, Daryl is a cool addition to the group, although half the time it seems like he's carrying them. I'm really starting to dislike Andrea though, which is a shame since I though she was pretty cool in the comics.

It's not bad, but I far prefer the plotline and characters of the comics. Sorry for such a simple response, but it's all I have.

I'm liking this season a lot less than the last one. They've abandoned most of the fun of the show (the zombies), in favor of a much more general post-apocalyptic tone. It makes it a lot less unique.

I'm more than ready for them to leave the farm. And i was sick of the little-girl-search story a few episodes ago.

Ballistic nitpicks aside, I like the series. I found the characters believable, and that's one of the main things I look for.

And by ballistic nitpicks, I mean telling someone with a Glock to turn the safety off,
or how an M2 in the street still has ammo. Given that .50 BMG rounds can tear a person to pieces, especially at that range, I think I'd figure out a way to turn it to face any zombies that came at me.
I hate to be that guy, but... that wasn't a Glock. I'm not 100% sure what Andrea's pistol is, aside from hammer-fired with a safety, though... fun nitpick, the weapon was missing its hammer. Didn't notice until I looked up the still:
So yeah, he probably should have told her that her gun is broken.

OT: I recently marathon'd the first season on Netflix, and I'm liking it a lot. It has issues, but at least none of those issues are a propensity for sitcom resets every episode... or avoidance of hard subject matter.

I have been watching every episode, but i'm like 65% liking it.

The acting/writing is really off in some places. They tend to overdo the relationship drama.

The first season was excellent. The second doesn't seem to be as well executed. Things are being unnecessarily drawn out so they aren't tense, they become "oh just END it already" story lines.

I would take rounds in a weapon like that to mean one of two things...

1) They were surrounded and attacked from all sides. Lots of torn up zombie bodies, but with enough hands from the sides and around you eventually you go down.

2) They had a box of 200 rounds. 2000 zombies were walking their way. The retreat order had been given, evac in 5 minutes at a copter 2 minutes away. I'd drop the gun and run like hell, wouldn't you?
Both valid points, but I figured if things got to that point, I would have already used all 200 rounds.

I meant in the first episode, where he was talking to the other cop as the car came speeding at them.

Alright then. I don't remember that at all... my bad.

Not a problem. The gun nut in me just cringed at that part, since he fiddled with the slide release. And since "turning off" the safety on a Glock is putting your finger on the trigger.

I liked it until about the 3rd episode when it started being about the drama BS and I kept screaming at the TV because the people in the "camp" were bloody stupid.

Seriously they've got a half dozen fully grown men, another half dozen fully grown women, WHY THE HELL are they living out of cars and campers, they know zombies don't like the cold (apparently iirc) so their up high, lots of trees around... They've got access to tools... Give me the same resource and I'll have that group of people so protected within a week that nothing short of a zombie air-strike will be a threat.

Seriously TV writers suck at writing survival.

Nice high vantage point, palisades, caltrops, spike pits, angled pikes, barbed wire, a half dozen other ideas I've got, all around a largish area, crops on the outside, then build log cabins (bloody easy to make, just labour intensive, but again a dozen healthy adults)...

Seriously WTF. I get they are shellshocked, but they are also idiots.

That's why I stop watching shows like Walking Dead and Stargate Universe, the people are suppose to be "smart" and "tough" and all they do is sit around whining most of the time. Nut up and do something about it you bitches.
