So im seeing more and more advertising for battlefield bad company 2. im slowly realizing that they have their eyes firmly locked on modern warfare 2. this looks to be a truly epic fight, and i for one am excited to see it play out. im not even rooting for either team, i just think itll be epic to see if battlefield can unseat modern warfare for the crown atop the xbox live most played list. it should be a hell of a fight, EA vs Activision, the two giants in the industry. i bet itll come down to who supports their game better after launch, and its looking like Activision isnt doing much in terms of glitchs. i think the mw2 crowd has grown sick of the hacking and glitching, and if EA can prove they have what it takes, i think they very well might unseat activision.

what do you guys think. when the smoke clears, whose gonna be atop the most played list?

Battlefield Bad Company does everything right...except the actual gameplay. Immensely clunky and awkward compared to Cod's slick and smooth gameplay.

Glad to see i'm not the only one who thought so. To me BC2 felt like playing MW2 underwater, everything just felt sluggish.

EA has bad customer support (through my experience) but the glitching in MW2 has to stop so I'm torn between both parties

IMO bad company 1 is better than mw2, so it's pretty obvious where my opinions are going to lie.
However, the vast majority of players will stick with mw2, so I don't see it losing it's throne any time soon.

Initial sales of MW2 will still be totally out of BC2's league, but I have a feeling that due to stable servers, vehicle combat and a much richer playing environment that it will win out over MW2 in the long run. BC2 will gain players steadily, whereas MW2 has been loosing them at a very steep rate ever since it came out.

MW2 doesn't stand a chance compared to BC2

BC2 has dedicated servers a solid and functional game without broken weapons and larger numbers of players per side.

Not to mention the awesome size of the maps better gameplay diversity, multiple routes to victory and actual team play.

Also vehicles are absolutely a blast to play but are also vulnerable to attack from every person.

And this game isn't completely broken and glitchy. Plus being able to put a hole in the wall for your team to attack or so you can expose someone who is hiding is absolutely brilliant.

Unless the BBC2 demo is based on some very early beta, I can't imagine why anyone would be interested in the game. It's crap.
I could be pleasantly surprised by the final product, but I'll wait for comminity reviews... reviews that don't come from MW2 boycotters, since we can guarantee they'll all be positively glowing.

Those are 2 different fucking games, a team-based tactical shooter versus an insane Michael Bay shooter.
The better question would be Medal Of Honor versus Call Of Duty or BC2 vs MAG.
EDIT: Also, I hope that MW2 will have more players than Battlefield 2. Because, let's face it, everyone can play MW2 the right way but we don't want lone wolves in BC2, do we?
Also, although I am a MW2 fanboy, I love Battlefield 2 and the BC2 demo mostly reminds me of that great great game.

BC 2 isn't even out yet. Not sure why people are so excited about it being as the first one was crap, so if the second one follows in its footsteps MW2 will continue to hold its spot. I doubt BC2 will outsell MW2 anyways, regardless of how good it is. We'll have to wait for halo reach for it to even have competition market wise.
