Poll: The Watchmen Movie, yes or no?

I thought the Watchmen movie was very good, you should buy it, in my opinion. However, if you are only going to watch it once, then rent it. You should read the novel though, it is very good.

Get it, you may need ot watch it more then once though, because the plot might be hard to follow, but i really enjoyed this movie, so my advice is yes, buy it.

If you haven't read the book, go for it. Then read the book afterwards (HMV and Waterstones do it cheap).


If you read the book first you won't like it as much (I hate it, but I'm picky), the film stands up on it's own as a movie.

Yes it is a very deep and action filled film with unique characters and some excellent acting (guy who played roshak is th emost noticable)

I agree- the film did the novel justice, but the novel is better- even if you don't normally go in for graphic novels (I dont) this one is sublime (you dont get in Times 100 top novels by being a sack of shite)

Not the very greatest adaptation ever, but an excellent film.

I enjoyed it immensely. Couldn't understand why it got bad reviews, it was a very good film.

Worth getting, especially if there's deleted scenes.

Personally I found it very boring over-all. I did like the graphic novels, but the movie was just too damn slow in most parts. Such a shame since the first ten minutes of the actual movie (meaning after the thirty minutes of intro crap) was completely awesome.

I'd recommend renting it cause I do think it's definitely worth a watching, but in my opinion there's really no need to buy unless you're a fan.

It was a great movie, imo one of the best of the year. That said it is a comic book movie so some suspension of disbelief is required tho not as much as spider-man or something like that. If your'e interested though you'll probably love it.

There are very few movies I'd actually buy. It has to really impress me to worth my precious money. If it doesn't I just download. Watchmen was worth buying.

yes it's very good, get the director's cut, it is closer to the comic book. they are coming out with another version that includes even more of the stuff they shot, including the tales of the black freighter and under the hood

What he said. Buy it and watch it a couple of times. The plot isn't terribly confusing but I can guarantee you'll miss stuff the first time you see it.
