Got one, am a 'hardcore gamer' and play it almost every day. And, after having friends over to play it, they're all leaning heavily towards getting one.
Thank you for the internetBeautiful End said:This guy right here wins the internet for having the right answer. See, it didn't take that long.Guffe said:I hate the terms casual and hardcore gamer
I play games so I am a gamer, that's how I see things
If you enjoy it and how much that's personal
I just wanna sit back, relax and play a game, not shame my hands and body all around in an attempt to pretend I'm part of the game
No, but addons are superfluous to what consoles offer. The motion plus came out pretty far from initial release, and I got mine for free with a game, so I can't complain.aguspal said:So you predicted the Wii was going to have that motion plus shit before it was released?
I agree with that part. It's garbage and the most fun I had with the wii were games that weren't using it. I played Mario kart, Smash bros, etc. just like I played them on the Game Cube and I couldn't be happier. But tolerating the existance of motion controls is something everyone is going to have to do from now on, now that the Kinect is shipping with the next Xbox and Sony (being Sony) won't acknowledge their failure with the Move and likely combine that with the PS4 as well.By the way the motion thing is a real CON in my eyes, but thats another theme for another thread.
Yeah, I'll admit I was thinking more about the Wii on that one. I'm literally tired from work so I sit on the couch to play Skyward Sword and OMG SHAKE THE ENEMY OFF NOW SKYWARD STRIKE NOW SLASH A LOT OF TIMES! FFUUUUUU!Guffe said:Thank you for the internetBeautiful End said:This guy right here wins the internet for having the right answer. My first one on the site actually, just took me 3 years to get it
As for the sitting back and relaxing...
I don't know if you've played the WiiU but of all the games I've played the most moving I've had to do so far is use the mote as a steeringwheel controller while driving a FZero minigame in NintendoLand.
Most motion stuff is gone, at least in the games I've played.
Sure there's some sniper aiming but no major movements so far
I say give it a shot if you have the chance to try it out, very good console, for me at least : )
That game is fucking awesome, may I just say, I reviewed it recently and it's incredibly fun even on your own, with a few friends it's just outstanding!Andy Shandy said:Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed are an absolute blast to play with other
Totally off topic but is your avatar from Monster Rancher by any chance? I haven't seen that anime in like 10 friggin years > >xPixelatedx said:People are actually waiting to "see how things turn out"...? Apparently someone is living on mars, with their fingers in their ears and their heads in a hole. It's a Nintendo console, you know EXACTLY how it's going to turn out. It will get Nintendo's big hitters: Mario, Zelda, Mario kart etc. Either you love this stuff or hate it, the point is you are waiting to see what you already know. It's not like Nintendo just popped up overnight, what they do isn't a mystery. No true surprises are coming, so take it or leave it.
I got one the moment it was released; I do that for almost every console because I like video games. Also, for the record, I think Nintendo making games that are still just trying to be nothing more then video games (and not interactive movies) is as hard core as gaming can possibly get.
Yeah, people should use that term now. Hardcore gives the wrong impression.AndrewF022 said:I don't really know what kind of gamer I am.. 'hardcore' I guess but I prefer 'enthusiast' haha.
This is something I agree with, except the part about playing it at a friend's apartment... I was the one who had Nintendo Land.itsmeyouidiot said:I'd played Nintendo Land at my friend's apartment, and it was without a doubt one of the most fun multiplayer experiences I've ever had.
I'm definitely getting one, hopefully the other people who aren't interested will be soon, because they are missing out big time.
