I think an MMO on pokemon would be great, I played Red and Silver on my old gameboy and i loved them. So as long as they made an up-to-date version of the johto and silver pokemon games MMO it would be great, as all the new pokemon look like robots with stripes and spikes

I don't know if I would play it or not because I have a dislike for the cost of MMOs but it would be amazing.

All the online battles you want, without any of the grind.
There are a few sites like that but a Pokemon MMO like WoW or something, lots of places to adventure, obviously more than 8 gyms... Real-time battling? I've always thought that real-time Pokemon battling would be awesome... :p
Smash Bros with only Pokemon then?

I would play that.

OT:

Pokemon MMO, I love this idea. Now if only they can do it without monthly subscription fees...

I think that there are at least some of browser-based Pokémon MMO's out there, i've played a few.

The world doesn't need any kind of MMO in my opinion... Infact if the genre went instinct I'd personally be VERY happy(sun) xD

Boom?

Came across this somewhere. Likely when I was powernerding the games.
ARGH fucking ninjas! And I would have looked so cool >.<

Yeah I used to play it, until it went crazy and I lost my charmander to a bug and the mods didn't help me.

There's this one too, built off the Tibia engine (really old MUD/MMORPG). I haven't played it, but I know a couple of people who have.

All the expansion ideas are all set out and ready as well, raids would be like the movie. SO MUCH POTENTIAL! I would buy it.

Only thing is, what would be endgame content? all your pokemon are lvl 100, dueling with other lvl 100's isn't that exciting, and there is no next level.

But if it would come out I'd play without thinking.
I think these people have said most of my thoughts.

A Pokemon MMO...put in extensive Trainer customization [way more than battle revolution] and then you've got yourself a deal! If they use 3-D graphics. If not customizing a sprite would still be worth it!

Ok lots of people have been linking Poke'mon MMOs. But let's be honest they're not of high-budget or quality and that's the main idea I'm presenting. An expensive, well designed, well marketed Poke'mon MMO.

As for end-game content, could be daily / monthly PvP tournaments? Could have boss fights with legendary Poke'mon? Not really sure, but it's the only thing we're really missing.

Another thought. I've been thinking about so many cool features and this "game" is already sounding totally awesome. And QUESTS haven't even crossed my mind yet! The quest potential is amazing too!

I stopped playing pokemon like after pearl pretty much (i played platinum but i gave up with it) but i voted yes because it will work in so many levels and i think it will make more people play pokemon more also it will just be fun.

But when it comes to the legendary's and the secret ones like mew etc i dunno how that would work because isnt there supposed to just be one of those in the world? and if they did add one legendary for each player wouldn't it be a little boring after a while if everyone was only using legendary's.

Im still voting yes for this though because aside from what i said it will be fun.

I think I'd actually try that. You wouldn't even have to introduce a real-time battle system, the existing one would work just fine for an MMO, and exploring the Pokémon world in 3D sounds very appealing to me.

It would be nice to see but I don't think a big budget MMO would happen. Nintendo own the rights to poke'mon as we all know and I don't think they would be willing to put the time, money and effort into creating something which they have no idea of it being a big flop or success.

I would just like for all pokemon to be able to be equal.
You know, like in the anime, how a butterfree, if badass enough, could overcome a pidgeot.

While I agree this would be great, I can see ways it won't work, A. GameFreaks love to make 2 version of thier games for people to buy both, then a third wich add's either 1 new legendery and ommits a ton of pokemon or so fourth so they would'nt make money with just 1 version released and B. It would be on the Wii, as I doubt Nintendo would allow it to be on a PC and I don't own a Wii, not because I have a problem with the Wii, just the only game I want for the Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess I have for the Gamecube on the uber rare ( Atleast here anyway ) Camecube port of it that came out just as the Wii did and the Gamecube got scrapped, so why get a Wii.

Alternativly a fully 3D single player Pokemon game would I admit make me buy a Wii, so lets take that step first before we go MMO.
