So, for a while now, games like Modern Warfare and Gears of War have been driving me insane. People online are constantly using more annoying tactics to win. Now, I know there will be some people who do these things, so do not take this personally. I'm not saying your a terrible person for doing it, just that I wish you wouldn't. And please, if you don't like my hates, don't even bother to comment. It's just rude.

My hates;
1. Thermal Snipers! - Sniping should take skill, not a scope that practically shoots for you!
2. Dual anything! - If anyone in the real world were to fire a model 1887 one handed, it would shatter your arm!
3. Map Glitchers - For craps sake, don't try to brag if you win this way. Ohhh, you can cheat!
4. Level-up lobbies - They are in every game, and they always seem to be run by little kids or stoners.
5. Kids who don't play the gametype - For craps sake, it's domination, not deathmatch! stop playing it like it is!
6. Little kids. Enough said.
7. Quick Snipers - Gwahhhhhhaaa!

Edit: Feel free to add any you feel I missed. I see that some of you really took the initiative.

You missed "admins." All of the others except perhaps glitchers are just whining, but a terrible admin can actively fuck up the game (and fuck up as in "fuck up," not "play differently than I think people should").

Thermal Snipers!

It's like saying:
"Hey! I'm too crap to snipe properly so i'm gonna fill in the entire screen with black except for what you need to shoot, which is bright white!"

[sub]Sorry, I lost integrity for a second there[/sub]

The people who play with their food... Then lose because of said playing.
(Well, I mostly play WC3 online and this seems to happen a lot to me)

People constantly complaining about other peoples habits of playing a game?

I thought this was about gameplay elements, so I will continue on with that assumption.

I hate "power weapons" scattered around the map. Not only do they royally fuck up balance, but they also usually aren't fun to use. Bazooka in a game without destruction mechanics/poor explosions, etc.

...All of the things in your voting section apply to MW2.
My vote goes to the people, because since I have the same items as the other guys, we have equal opportunities to kill each other.

Why is it such a bad thing when you can use it also?
That's the same thing as getting mad at someone for using, for example, an ACR or a Model 1887 in MW2. You have the same option to use it as they do, unless of course, you are a lower level, in which, well, that's your fault. Sort of.

really thermal is super easy to combat...its called cold blooded, awesome perk as it is anyways, before i was done with that game its probably the most over powered perk as it blocks you against all killstreaks and thermal

mm..i dont play these games anymore due to people taking it too seriously and being douchebaggy, but when i did the dual speedsters were annoying as heck, took no skill to shoot up the whole screen and due to lag they would always have a slight advantage

I can't choose more than one? Damn...

But, if by level-up lobbies you mean boosters etc etc, then those are the only ones I'll actually quit a game for. So I chose that one.

Sorry bout that, but its has all of these things in it, tell me I'm wrong.

And as for a few of them, glitchers came from gears of war, and dual weapons and level up lobbies I have seen in Halo, lobbies in gears to.

I hate this damned argument, yes I could use a thermal sniper that picks out targets for me. Yes I could use duel 1887's (which btw I have nothing against). But there is no skill involved in thermal sniping as a thermal sniper vs a normal sniper is going to see the normal sniper first in 9/10 scenarios. If you pit the duel 1887's against say..... the spaz12, both have an equal chance of killing you from roughly the same range.

I know it's not a great argument, but it's my argument

Little kids.

By which I mean "twelve year olds", not necessarily people who are twelve years old, but people who are "twelve year olds".

The mindset of being cocky, arrogant, smug, obnoxious, whiny, usually having poor grammar, and usually being a weeaboo, among other things.

No one likes twelve year olds, not even other twelve year olds.

In closing, you forgot the voting option for "Balance breaking abilities or equipment".

Stopping Power, anyone?

I'm tempted to say little kids, but I got into online gaming around 7th grade with Team Fortress 2 and was pretty good, but people despised me just because I was young, and not judging me on my skill; so that would be unfair.

I'll say snipers in general. It's fine to have one or two on a team, sure, but people seem to have a fricking love affair with snipers, and I've seen entire teams of snipers on Bad Company 2. It can truly be a game breaker.

Campers, because they bore me. I'd like FPS's a lot more if the game consisted of people running around, but instead hardly anyone does, and when I'm running around I've gotta check all the windows and corners so that I don't die. It's fucking boring, it's not even satisfying to kill campers any more because there are so many, and you just know that when they respawn they're gonna go back to the same spot. I don't wanna spend the entire game denying some boring bastard the ability to sit in the corner of a house somewhere, but I know if I don't he'll keep coming back and probably kill my team mates.

It's reasons like this why I hardly play online FPS's for fun, other than arcade shooters, at least in them you have a bigger chance of surviving if you're dodging unpredictably like a crazy person, which requires movement.
