I feel like this situation can use a better explanation than that offered by the poll. In any event I suppose I am not the greatest person to offer advice on this subject considering I have never dated a girl who owned a dildo (as far as I know o_O).

Have you considered the possibility that maybe she doesn't want to yet, and you're being pushy?
This is pretty much my immediate response to this...

If you'd like to give us some more information so we have a clearer idea of what's going on here, that'd be great. But until we get more info and know more, the quoted response is also my own.

Can I just say... once and for all... that there is no answer that you can find on the internet, for the internet has no sense of sensuality or sexuality.

Despite your genders or physical preference, this is a topic that needs to be worked out between you two personally.
Approach her and gently discuss it. Even if it becomes a heated argument, try to maintain calm and accept the eventual outcome (good or bad you have already set your mind on one of these two outcomes by posting this)

That being said, Sexuality is too complex for a faceless forums...

I'm thinking yes, you should be offended/concerned.Maybe you should ask her for instructions or ask to watch her um... self service. At this point what else are you going to do? Btw the whole watching thing is really kind of hot and each woman is satisfied by different styles/techniques.

You do realize the fundamental difference between masturbating and sex, right?

Anyway... talking is the solution here (Redundant post, I know).

I am thinking that flying off the handle is really the wrong response completely.

If she is a virgin, she may be wanting to give something a try before hand so she has some idea what to expect. She could have lots of fear and anxiety about it although I wonder why she wouldn't share that with you considering that she went and bought a dildo.

In case you cannot tell from the responses, that poll does not explain the situation. You should consider posting your gender since it is not displayed with your post, a general idea of ages of both parties and general sexual experience of both parties for people to be able to comment knowledgeably on your situation.

Has it occoured to you to talk to her about it? She mightn't feel ready, abc there is nothing wrong with that. Is she abstaining from all sexual contact, or just coitus? Actually, are you male or female?
