Poll: This is a simple poll. It won't prove anything about TF2 or Call of Duty.

A question arose in my mind the other day. Sure the Call of Duty franchise sells a lot and it has made Activision tons of money. But TF2 seems like it's a pretty good business model as well.
It's been out 4 years now, it's constantly updated and has recently become free two play only to attract more and more players.

So the question is this: I know there are more CoD (latest edition) players out there at any given time. But, when it comes to gamers, such as yourselves, have you passed the opportunity of owning both games?

I'll admit it first. I have zero interest in so-called realistic modern shooters. So, I have never played any of those multiplayer titles (CoD, Battlefield and so on). But Team Fortress 2 is my favorite game of all time, so I don't see myself leaving it any time soon.

Oh, I chose Blops for the poll, since it seems to be the one most people have.

I own both. TF2 is great and fun. And CoD is great and fun... in the right circumstances.

It should be noted that I play TF2 far more than CoD

I didn't buy Blops because I've already beaten the campaign, which is really what I play CoD for.

TF2 is endless hours of fun. In fact, I have it open in another window.

I've owned TF2 on PC since I got the Orange Box, and BlOps on Xbox since a bit after it came out. Both are loads of fun.

Black Ops as my PC is not powerfull enough to run any sort of game that requires more than 16 bits. I do want to try Team Fortress sometime though, it looks good

On only community contributed items over the course of a single year, VALVe made $6,000,000. (They got 8 mill, but contributors get 25% so they had to pay out 2 mill).

So, a portion of TF2's profits for a year was 6 mill.

Obviously VALVe is doing something right.

I play TF2 on occasion and actually own it.

I played through Black Ops campaign once, much to my own dismay.

I bought TF2 back before it went ftp, so i have a premium account.
However i havent bought a cod game since the first modern warfare. Ive played them all but i refuse to pay for them, i'll just keep borrowing them from friends so i can play through the craptastic campaigns in one sitting.

I own Blops, play TF2 F2P. Don't play Blops much anymore, but I've been big on TF2 lately

Even though I shouldn't have anything against Blops, this poll makes me glad. It's good to see that TF2 has value beyond its price and its hype. It's an amazing product with unparalleled character. I don't get why the CoD franchise is so popular and I don't get why you need to buy a slightly altered game every year. TF2 isn't the same game anymore, but apart from the Orange Box on launch day I never had to pay for anything else.

To each his own, I guess...

I only play Blops when I go over to my friend's house. I own TF2 and I love it. I just got off it right now!

Yeeeaah. I have the Orange Box, but I've actually never played TF2. I love the concept, I've watched it played a million times, all that jazz, but... I really, really hate multiplayer with people I don't know. I always have. Last I heard it didn't have a solo mode, but...

CoD was never my thing. I like FPS's but I prefer gimmicky ones and CoD isn't terribly gimmicky from what I've seen.
