Poll: This is a simple poll. It won't prove anything about TF2 or Call of Duty.

Im a devoted TF2 player (Spy, Scout and Sniper faves :D) and I got it with the orange box over 2 years ago, Valve are the best at hooking you to the games they make.

As for call of duty, Im not sure but it seems to get boring aswell as having a dreadful community which is one of the reasons I have put down the game for now. (Despite it having more maps, weapons with attachments too, and game modes)

Team Fortress 2 is easily my favorite multiplayer game. It has solid gameplay, appealing visuals and an absolutely hilarious sense of humor. I bought the Orange Box back in October 2007, and I've been playing TF2 on an almost daily basis ever since.

I've never been that into the Call of Duty games. I've played through the first Modern Warfare's campaign a few times, but that's pretty much it. The series just doesn't have the same near-infinite replay factor that TF2 does for me. I didn't bother getting MW2 or Black Ops because they were basically the same experience (there's also the fact that I don't buy Activision products anymore, but that's a different topic altogether).

I own both. I prefer Black Ops, the TF2 crowd I keep getting matched with are somewhat unfriendly so I haven't played in a while.

I actually don't have either. Call of Duty in general just doesn't interest me.

TF2 looks more my style but i'm HOPELESS at competitive multiplayer. lol

Black OPs was packaged with my PS3. I'm not huge on CoDs or Battlefields but I did enjoy the campaign. I purchased TF2 when the Orange Box hit Mac, I like TF2 considerable more than CoD but I've only sunk around 55 hours into it which is nothing compared to the time I've seen some people sink into it.

Blops - modified Quake 3 engine.
TF2 - modified Source engine.

TF2 - Fun, continually updated, challenging, rewards teamplay, free...

Blops - Twitchfest. Gameplay seems secondary to e-peen growth. Requires signing up to a company that thinks talking to someone else is worth jackboots.

I purchased TF2 a long time ago, when there were only Scout, Heavy and Medic updates, and played for quite a long while. I realized that the game had gone to fuck when they made items random rather than from achievements and added paid content, a lot of which was overpowered, and I can't say I was extremely good at the game before that, so I stopped playing. As for COD, I only have MW2 and might get MW3, both to play with friends.

Paid content has hardly ever been overpowered, since for most classes the default gear is all you need. And if something is overpowered are usually the melee weapons, which aren't all important in the game. Besides, there's nothing you can't craft or find. You can get everything, without paying anything.

Modern Warfare 2 was my last COD game and it just got silly, broken as hell online play mixed with a lack of decent maps and extreme prices on map packs just steered me away from the series.

Team Fortress 2 I got when it first came out as part of the orange box. I don't like/use the Mann Co store at all, I really hate the idea of buying the items with real money but at least Valve aren't selling power, the new items never make a character unstoppable. Free maps and the option of unlocking new items without money keep me in the game. I also find the gameplay to be more varied and fun than the Call of Duty experience. I even get to work as part of a team and plan a way to win instead of blindly running around like a headless chicken hoping my team know what's best to do.

Ohhh, I got confused by poll. I have console shooter games such as MW2 and B:BC2 but the last Treyarc CoD I played was CoD3 (So many abbreviations!)

I've been playing Team Fortress 2 far too much recently, (and far too much as a spy) but have never bought anything from the in-game store.

Both.

I play TF2 more than CoD nowadays, partly because I used to play so much CoD and partly because my Xbox Live mic broke., but CoD is still fun, especially with friends.

I own both.

Surprising absolutely nobody, I think TF2 is the better game. I'm usually the jolly Russian giant holding the line or breaching the defences.

Thing is, I actually regard CoD's multiplayer as well designed and executed, but for some unknown reason it's just never 'clicked' with me.

Perhaps something may have changed in the 2-ish years I haven't played, but I clearly recall one of the last games I played being one where the enemy spy was getting an insane amount of kills because not only was he good, but he was using a knife which would instantly turn him into whoever he killed, which I later looked up and it was a paid knife.

That's Your Eternal Reward. It's not that powerful, since you have to give up the ability to disguise in the first place. I have it (it dropped, I didn't pay for it, probably the spy you faced had it dropped too), but I never use it. And spy is always FUN to play, but never, ever overpowered. Quite the opposite.

But hey, I won't try to convert you to a TF2 believer. Each of us clicks with a different game.

Well, when playing defence getting a quick backstab shouldn't be too difficult for a good spy to accomplish to disguise.
And the whole drop thing doesn't really appeal to me either, TF2 was better before it turned into an RPG.
But yeah, in the end to each his own.
