Well to put it bluntly.... Do you think that humans (Male and Female) Understand what their basic anatomy is for.

EX:

Two feral humans, one male and one female. Could they figure out how to have sex and raise a child without the need of other humans?

Assumptions:
-They have healthy diets
-Easy acess to food and water
-They have shelter
-No predators

Things to remember:
-Humans have change alot in the past few hundred millennia. And all have lived in colonies since then.

My conclusion:
To be honest im not sure, I may be a bit sexist here, but i believe that if they figured out how to have sex it would be by the guys iniative. But even then... im not sure they could figure it out.

You must mean feral, unless you mean Italian aluminum radiators.

And the answer is yes, it's the basis of biology and the most basic driving force of all living things.
I already fixed it... Why is everyone so sarcastic about misspelled words....

I don't see any reason two humans in the wilderness shouldn't figure out how to shag. Sex drives and all that.
They won't know it'll result in a child of course, but when the time comes they will most certainly be just as able to raise the baby as well as any other ape.

Of all the things that may be part of human nature, this is the most certain. The species wouldn't have survived otherwise.

"The species" has evolved alot during the last ice age... Its not really a valid argument. Since all humans since that time have lived in colonies.

It's all a part of instinct, built into the mind of every creature. Every creature knows how to reproduce, whether they are feral or not. The only difference is that it probably wouldn't be as much for recreation as we see it today, and more for reproduction. I mean look at children who are reaching puberty, some probably never discussed anything about sex with anyone else, but at that stage, they finds themselves being drawn to the opposite sex in a more intimate function.

Edit: Actually, in my opinion, I think that the feral parents might end up actually being better parents than the ones of the world today, especially when the survival of their line matters more than almost anything else, even the life of the parents.

Yes, because animals do that quite frequently and "feral humans" would not be too different in that regard.

Because misspelling words shows negligence and doesn't leave a good impression. Normally, a word or two in a text wouldn't, and shouldn't, be much of a problem but you have too many mistakes there. Most, if not all, browsers come with a spell check feature. And you have "Anotomy", "buntly" and "there" only if we limit ourselves to the title and the first sentence. I'm overlooking the random capitalization of words, as this wouldn't be underlined by the spell-checker, and the missing question mark after the question (still wouldn't), even if English is not your first language, there is little excuse for so many mistakes.

Or to use John Cheese's words[footnote]#5 from 5 Internet Life Lessons Parents Need to Start Teaching Kids [http://www.cracked.com/article_18861_5-internet-life-lessons-parents-need-to-start-teaching-kids.html][/footnote]:

Remember that text is going to be how you make your first impression over the internet; if every third word you type is misspelled, people will automatically assume that you're a moron. Even if the public school system fails you, there are browsers that come with spellcheck built-in.
I'm not being a grammar Nazi but your post really bothers me.

Other.

Some times animals born in captivity don't know how to have sex.

Otherwise we could easily save a lot of species from extinction.

This is what im thinking... Looking at my own mind. Im not sure I would know what to do with my own anatomy without porn.

CraftOmega is right. The test actually has been done. A scientist once found a "savage" boy in the jungle. he never had contact with humans before. He was more or less 17 and physically fine. He brought in a few hookers and the boy could do anything.

I was extremely surprised about that, but it seems that we are the only specie so dumb we need to be taught how to fuck!

Yes, the man would be stimulated by her, and from finding this, will promptly preform the deed
It's human nature, the only difference would be that it'd probably be rape, unless the women was in some sort of heat
It may sound like I'm talking about humans like they're animals, but the truth is we are.

Not necessarily. It's quite possible for someone to totally not understand about what goes where. Now, if they ended up doing it, they might like it and continue without realising the consequences, but we don't seem to be hardwired for that sort of thing.

One of Henry 8th's wives didn't know that just being in bed together wasn't enough to cause pregnancy, for example, you have people going to marriage counselors (in backwards parts) because neither of them knew what to stick where for pregnancy and were doing it wrong, etc.

This certainly is an interesting question, though.

Now, assuming people don't know, how much of a hint do they need to figure it out? Of course it'd vary immensely, but even so.

Depends on how "feral" they are, I suppose. There's "feral" on the level of other primates, in which case those natural reproductive and parenting instincts will be working and they should do just fine. And "feral" as in not raised around any other humans, which should be about the same as that. Their instincts should keep them going, as long as they have some bearings as to their area and resources. But if we're talking out of their mind/mad hatter feral, then they probably would be so far gone they wouldn't be able to take care of just themselves long enough to actually carry a baby to term and care for it.

EDIT: Okay, sat down and read the OP. Yeah, I think they'd do just fine. I mean, sex feels good. Really good. We tend to figure this out at a very early age. If the first primates and the first humans figured it out, I think a couple of feral humans would get the hang of it pretty quick.

I think they would be able to make a baby, but raising it would be a problem. Fucking is instinct but raising a kid is usually something you learn. Or at least I have no child raising instinct and even my mother admitted she would of had no clue if she didn't ask other parents and read books.

I don't see why not. Sex is a pretty well ingrained instinct. Raising a child was being done millions of years before humans, so it shouldn't be too surprising if they manage to do it.

Would they have sex? Sure, that is certainly possible. Unlikely, but possible. Would the child survive? Unlikely. Would the two of them have lived long enough to run into each other to begin with? Probably not. They wouldn't talk, they'd be terrible at walking and running, assuming they could do either, they'd have far more fear based reactions, they may just kill each other upon meeting, seeing as being feral as a human means an absolute lack of prior human interaction. They probably would have died as infants due to lack of interaction, and there's a good chance they would kill their own child due to lack of understanding how to deal with other humans.

In short, the situation is highly implausible, especially considering that you would have to have two living feral humans as a prerequisite, and they will only be interacting with other feral humans.
