How in the...?
I refuse to dignify that comment with a response... except thisSketchy said:No... just... no. Mudvayne is NOT death metal, at all. It's like, mainstream nu-metal, and most people in death metal are far more talented than ANY member of Mudvayne.
Vocalists of the genre vary in delivery and style. Sometimes the growling takes a back seat for synthed vocals(See Necrophagist vs. Cynic) or mix it up with percussion/melody(Opeth is a great example, seeing as they often accentuate long delivery with exaggerated exhalations. A good song for this is Serenity Painted Death). What I truly find fascinating is that the message can vary while still being equally important to a genre.-Zen- said:Considering that every single death metal si... vocal cord user I've heard sounds like a fucking idiot, I'm no fan of this genre of sound-making.
I just started listening to Nile. Could you suggest a few songs?Patton662 said:Love it! I can see why many people don't like it though, it's hard to appreciate bands like Nile or Behemoth they are way too extreme for many people.
