Poll: To the fans of System of a Down

I'm just interested to find out what other fans (clarity edit) think about System of a Down's music. Personally, I reckon that they're awesome, but in their earlier stuff, songs like Deer Dance feel really unpleasant. I could even call the guitar violent, which is ironic, considering how many songs they've done protesting war.

I loved Toxicity and pretty much all its songs.

They were my favorite band for the longest time. Then they went on hiatus and pissed me off...

Their earlier stuff was much better than the later stuff in my opinion. Although, Mesmerize and Hypnotize were all too catchy and the best CDs to listen to while playing Timesplitters: Future Perfect.

My tastes range with them I really liked Toxicity and their older stuff but their last two albums never really hit home with me. And Serj's little cd was hit or miss some of it was good some of it was good some of it was strange for him.

To be honest, the only album I didn't like of theirs was the first one.
So basically Toxicity onwards.

I loved the first album. toxicity was great and Steal this Album was amazing.

Mesmerize and Hypnotize were a lot of fun too. Especially mesmerize.

Dunno... 1st album was mental but great, 2 and 3 were still quite heavy but actually produced marketable songs, last 2 were much more politically orientated and more tuneful. Tuneful being a relative term with system. On balance I prefer either SOAD or Steal this as my favourites but all the albums are extremely good.

Mesmerize/Hypnotize were decent albums, but I definitely still hold Toxicity as my favourite. Which just so happened to be the album that introduced me to them.

Toxicity was where they were at their best. I like all of their stuff (last two were hit and miss though), but my personal favourite is Toxicity.

System of a Down and Toxicity are the best. I personally didn't really like Hypnotize and Memorize and i have heard very little of Steal this album.

I have to agree Hpoirot the entire spew that they've released has been nothing at all to get excited over.

They're all good, even the solo projects... I'm actually listening to "The Unthinking Majority" by Serj as I found this thread.

I loved their Self titled album, and Toxicity and Steal this Album were decent, but i hated Mesmerize and Hypnotize. they just didnt seem like the same band.

As for my faviorite Era, I absolutely love the first album, Steal this Album was okay, Toxicity was awesome, and Mesmerise / Hpynotise were okay with some awesome tracks such as Lost in Hollywood
