I like it crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and hot enough that the peanut butter melts, but remains its structural integrity and deoesn't drip everywhere

Bagels toasted with at least two types of pig, eggs, and cheese. Butter is optional. I freaking love bagels.

Toast is good when it just hits the point of crunchiness, where the outside is a little crisp but the inside is still nice and moist and warm and soft. I always miss this mark by miles though.

In my book, though, toast is the lowest of bready breakfast items, behind bagels, muffins, english muffins, donuts, and biscuits. I'll still put toast ahead of scones and danishes, but to me, no breakfast is better than buttermilk biscuits with thick, chunky sausage gravy. I would gladly eat that every day for the rest of my (suddenly much shorter) life

I was going to say medium but then I saw there was an English Muffin option because I in all honestly do prefer those over toast.

But... but where's my "French" option?

I guess just slightly brown would be my best choice with the options I'm given.

No, nothing! Can never eat again! I hate food! (I voted nothing at all ^^)

In all seriousness, I prefer English Muffins over toast, but if toast is the only option, then medium brown, lighter is ok, but I won't even look at it if it's burnt.

I picked medium toasted, as it really lets the margerine (what?) melt into the bread, giving it a nice, warm flavour. Add to that such classic toppings as cream cheese or vegemite, and that's pretty much my breakfast every morning.

Though I must say, when I went to America I developed a particular fondness for toasted bagels with cream cheese.

Oh good, you actually had my choice in the Poll, did not think you'd actually have it
Burnt to the resemblance of Charcoal, for those wondering.
Maybe with some Butter, but fine without.
I don't eat Toast often, mind you. Prefer a Bacon-Biscuit or some Cereal usually.

He really should have done that one as opposed to "Suicide by starvation as of this Vote
Joke-Poll-Choice can be nice and all, but only if you've already covered all your bases.

I should have read all the options because I loves me some bagels...medium toast (ie; some browning and a crunch) with butter unless I'm making a sandwich in which the butter turns into mayo and we add meat and cheese. Still, switch out bagel with bread and that is still freaking awesome. I loves me some toasted bread.

I prefer bagels, french toast, english muffins, etc., but when I have toast, it is barely toasted enough to be considered toast. I can't stand crunchy toast.

Did someone say toast?

YEAH TOAST!
Well I came here to post this but it appears some young ninja has been here before me.
OT: I prefer my toast medium, I prefer muffins to toast, and I actually like fruit toast, which is it seems a polarising issue.
As for toppings, fruit toast/muffins I just have butter, toast I'm a bit more varied. Butter, peanut butter, bacon and eggs, baked beans, spaghetti, jam, vegemite, cheese. Oh toast, is there anything you can't do?

Warm enough to be crunchy and enough to just warm the bread.

That is a magical piece of toast.

I tend to like most things a little overdone (I order my steaks medium-well, as an example) and the same applies to toast. Sometimes I like it burnt to ash, but most of the time I just get it black along the edges, dark brown everywhere else. Butter/Margerine on top. Nothing fancy.

Darn you, Escapist, now I'm jones'n for some toast.
*gets up to go make some*
