Over, of course. It makes far more sense and is superior in every way.

Unrelated fact: Portal 2 is going to be fucking awesome.

I don't have a place to hang it. I just set the roll on the back of the toilet.

Mans... I didn't know it was a big deal to some people. I'm wondering, would you refuse to use someone's washroom just because they hang their toilet paper the wrong way? I don't think I really care which way it hangs, just as long as it's replaced when it runs out.

Well it actually is a rather important part of the bathroom, if its hanging the wrong way then pain and misery can ensue, just ask FreelanceButler.

I wouldn't refuse to to use their washroom, I would just correct the mistake and hang it the right way (IMO Over).

Yes it's late at night and I'm making a thread.

My question to you this night is
"Which way do you prefer your toilet paper to hang?"

Now I personally like it to hang over, it becomes so much more easier to get a hold of and rip off. What about you? Over when its easy access, or under where its hugging the wall?
Under. And yes there is a good reason.

My reason for choosing this unpopular option is that I have kittens at home. If the toilet paper is hanging over, the kittens will grab onto the roll, spin it around and unfurl the entire damn thing. However if the toilet paper is in the under position, they can still sling the roll around all they want but they won't unravel any of it as long as I don't leave any hanging down the bottom for them to grab.
