Poll: Tom Clancy Games That NEED A SEQUEL!

So escapist, I think it's been weird how there hasn't been any Tom Clancy games recently, they used to flood the market a few years ago, and now they have dwindled, I don't know if Ubisoft have given up on the bloke for games, but Ubisoft has been quiet as a whole about what games they're releasing for 2012 and 2012

And I think some of the games, like Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon definetly need a sequel because i adored the last instalments.

But anyway what do you think about it?

The Rainbow Six page on Facebook announced that Ubisoft is going to announce something at E3, whether it's connected to Rainbow Six, Tom Clancy, or just some other Ubisoft stuff is unclear.

Personally I'd vote for 'none of them' if I could. Sick to death of them. Tom Clancy's this. Tom Clancy's that. Enough is enough. Half of them have shit tonnes of sequels anyway, and 90% of them are just uninteresting, lame games. Rainbow six is the only one I'd ever even consider re-doing(again). Just because the original concept as a game works pretty well.

Another Rainbow Six, but this time, FFS, let the team go globetrottling in the style of the first game, with the usual cheesy conspiracy theory over-arcing plot. Go to exotic locations, hotel resorts on tropical islands, secret research facilities in some mountainous areas etc ...

And of course, a better weapon customization system!

Or so they say, the way Ubisoft has been acting I think the game has been scrapped. Shame it looked very good.

Regardless of what you choose, any new Tom Clancy game will be part of the same mythology anyway, so a 'sequel/spin-off' of sorts either way. The company are trying to merge all the games into a single continuous universe now. For example, the HAWX 2 campaign plays out like a standard HAWX game, except that the ground troop sections (where you're aiding them as air support) will be playable as missions in the Future Soldier story, and some characters will cross over between the two. References are made in the end of HAWX 2 as well to Third Echelon having some links to the game events, that group of course being found in the Splinter Cell series. So I'm not too fussed about which series gets the sequel, since it'll all slowly tie everything together anyway...

That being said, I only have HAWX myself, and have played most of the HAWX 2 campaign at my local HMV store. Though I am now pretty intrigued to get the rest of the current Tom Clancy games, particularly the Splinter Cell series...

I wouldn't mind a sequel to Raven Shield or a sequel to Ghost Recon in the style of Raven Shield and Ghost Recon. GRAW sucked and Vegas, while it is the best cover-based shooter on PC isn't a proper Rainbow Six game. Splinter Cell has been well and truly destroyed beyond redemption. HAWX isn't on my radar, because I prefer flight sims with some depth.

EDIT: I voted Red Storm because Raven Shield was made by Red Storm Entertainment. Is there a game called Red Storm?

One of two, or absolutely none:

1. An historically-, economically- and politically-accurate global RT4X. Make the game start in May, 1945, and you can play as any nation-state (including as-of-1945 colonies, which would have an "Act 1" of achieving independence). The game ends in 2000 and tallies score, or when the Cold War ends through nuclear holocaust or NATO/Warsaw Pact collapse.

2. A current-gen remake of Rainbow Six complete with all planning aspects down to squad and equipment, and dare I say it ammo, selection. Bonus points if they include hyper-realistic damage modeling (i.e. if you're shot in the leg, you go down complete with total interface screw and being forced to crawl, but are at risk of bleeding to death). What game designers could do with a truly hyper-realistic shooter in the current generation just gives me shivers.

This. I don't really want more Vegas games. They were okay, but I don't think they can to much more with the Vegas theme. Rainbow Six 4 plz.

The only thing I want to see from the Tomy Clancy line is a revival of the Mercs vs Spies gameplay from Splinter Cell, what the hell happened to that?!

I think they need to ditch the Vegas part of Rainbow 6 and just make a new Rainbow 6.
I don't like any of the other Tom Clancy games.

I want a Rainbow Six game that goes back to Raven shield. Raven shield is that best Rainbow six game I have played.
