Don't get me wrong, I respect Michael Jackson. And I did feel genuinely sad when he passed away (for a small while). And, the movie that came out last year was kind of a stretch. But now a videogame? I'm suprised people still care. Are people going to be like this when someone equally famous dies?

It depends. Who IS equally famous in comparison. :/

I have no clue how the media storm never really died out, even 1 1/2 years after his death.

He's still regularly mentioned in the news, and he's got a game. Way to milk the man, Jackson Estate. Way to milk him.

I was sick of the news coverage the day after his death.

Don't forget his new album!

Personally, I never liked his music and certainly didn't like the fact it was everywhere when he died. Even then, cashing in on him being dead isn't the best way to remember him so, yea. Too much MJ.

no one says you have to buy them. this is just for people who want to delude themselves into feeling like he is still alive by living the MJ experience. and i'm cool with that. letting go is hard.

Honestly I didn't care nearly as much about his death as I did Billy Mays'. Why can't they make a video game where Billy Mays stars in it?

I didn't really care about Michael Jackson when he was alive - but then I've grown up after his career had gone way downhill, and before he'd had the chance to build it up again.

You have to compare it to what happened after Freddy Mercury died though - the exploitation of a death for monetary purposes is inevitable. Morally reprehensible but inevitable.

I do know that plenty of famous people will die and go unnoticed undeseveredly though - and I do think we are suffering Jackson overkill at the moment.

Elvis is still being exploited.

I don't see why not.
He's an icon.

I couldn't care less.

Never cared for him when he was alive, and I still don't particularly care.

Overrated.

While I think his music is good, I was born in the 90s when his career was going down and then the molestation allegations came up. I can honestly agree with Jon LeJoie's song
