I think that it represents the 90's and early 00's, it is something to remember at the time...nostalgia is one of the greatest feelings, and why would you want to spoil that with the 4kids crap they would have to put on nowadays.
But I did give Toonami alot of cred because they editted out the shit that was bad for kids, and kept it as close as possible to the original product...mostly! But DBZ, and Yu Yu Hakusho were not murderered and raped like Yu-gi-oh.
But I digress! I think CN is dead...LONG LIVE ADULT SWIM!!!! But after AS dies...they don't have anything.
And does anyone else think that they are catering to an entire generation, because they have Toonami to show some of the anime, get rid of it, then show it when kids who were about 7 at the time of 2000 to the kids who are now 16 and able to watch AS more or less as adults.
RIP Johny Bravo....RIP Batman Beyond(I never understood you at your time, but now, I can only long for you), RIP DBZ (You have done more in life that possibly any other anime EVUR), RIP Yu Yu Hakusho (I never watched you much, but when I did, I enjoyed a laugh and a good action scene), RIP Toonami(I was eager for your friday movies every week, hulled me over as a child).
RIP Toonami, you can rise from the ashes, you just need time!
