I have a picture of Coop, Jamie and Kiva signed by the creator I got at last years Dragon Con. The dude was such a sport he wrote, "Cheesestakes for Life" on it. Apparently he writes for the Clone Wars show now.

I miss the way it was when it was at its best, not the way it was towards the end of its "life." I wasn't giving a fuck about Ben 10, Totally Spies, Code Lyoko, or any of that drivel.

Back when we got great shows like Dragon Ball Z, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo!/Universe, Gundam Wing, G Gundam, ReBoot, Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, and so forth? Fuck yeah, I miss it.

But god I forgot how many good shows were on - haven't seen Tenchi in a long time. Toonami is responsible for me buying numerous box sets though, usually with money that should really of being earmarked for something else.

Oh good lord, I was furious before it died. They took Samurai Jack, Courage, Dexters lab and gave us........you know what I don't know what they replaced it with but its absolute compared to the likes of Jack and Courage the countless others that I can't recall right now that the took us from.

seriously it changed to Jetix which was meh, and now it Disney X D which is awful!

i miss Goosebumps and Digimon *sniffle* the good old days Fox Kids was epic... gone forever and now just a distant memory ='(

I stopped watching Toonami when they took series that were 13 episodes long (Trigun, Cowboy BeBop) & played them over & over for years until they were ruined for me. That was what, 6-10 years ago?

I absolutely do. I can still trace my start of watching anime to randomly flipping the channel to Cartoon Network one day, halfway through a significant episode of Sailor Moon. I loved that show, and wondered what else was being offered. And found Tenchi Muyo, which became my second obsession, not to mention branching out into renting stuff from the video store...

Hell, Toonami was pretty much the only television I watched throughout high school. Even after I lost interest in DBZ, and after Sailor Moon and Tenchi Muyo went off, there was still Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, and Outlaw Star. Then I coincidentally stayed up one night and found Cowboy Bebop...

So yeah. Hell, I still have VHS recordings of episodes back when Moltar was still the host. I even loved their presentation openings, and those little videos they eventually started showing.


I know other people liked the other main one (the youth inspiration one), and I liked it too. But this was my favorite.

I enjoyed this one.

I thought Toonami was just 1 hour block in the Cartoon Network Schedule, then I looked it up and it had turned into a channel of its own. When I watched cartoon network, Toonami only had about 2 or 3 cartoons, dragonball z and tenchi and some other japanese cartoon, might've been gundam. Then for about 9 years we didn't have Sky. So no, I don't miss Toonami, though I do miss cartoons such as The Mask, Freakazoid, the Hanna Barbera stuff (does anyone remember the Laff-A-Lympics?)

Yeah, I kinda miss it. Although the only shows I remember watching were Batman: Beyond and Samurai Jack.

Unfortunately I never really watched it as a kid (my first experience with anime was Pokemon), but I certainly was aware of it and enjoyed its presence, and if I were put in charge of Cartoon Network I probably would bring it back in some form (half out of nostalgia for something that didn't really happen to me, half out of trying to get good anime on CN without screwing over the good shows on Adult Swim).
