I guess so. Jeans are pants right? I only have jeans, don't know why.. it's just, what other sorts of pants would you wear and why?

Chinos, khakis and suit trousers are sort of middle of the road of formality for semi-casual. They can also look really nice.

Right now I'm wearing jeans. I own three pairs of shorts and one pair of hairy chicken legs.

You should specify that you mean the American version of pants. I suppose it's not a big deal, but it might confuse people from other parts of the world who refer to "pants" as trousers.

And I'm wearing boxers right now, as they are damned comfortable.

I'm wearing jeans as it's freezing (southern hemisphere and all that) because there's no cat door for our unit and the door must stay open to avoid cat poo on my carpet.

I wear jeans almost exclusively. I never had any until like.... 3 years ago. I always wore basketball shorts or board shorts. Now I have jeans =]
