I trust most people, at least to a certain point.
I trust they'd call an ambulance if I was in an accident.
I trust them to tell me the right way when asking for directions.
I trust them not to suddenly attack and murder me.
Strange examples, I know, but I think you get the jist of it.

Only me best friends and family. I also trust people who do not seem suspicios and have proof that they are not up to something.

Trust leads to an open flow of information between one person and another, which means that that flow of information can flow between another person until things reach places they should not have.

Trust is dangerous.

I just find it easier to expect the worst from people, and then be pleasantly surprised when they do something selfless or show their character. I don't treat them differently because I don't trust them, but I always expect that the worst could happen.
I concur with this view. I have seen people let down others countless times and I have done it myself. Why should I bother with trust?

Trust is an interesting concept, and it plays an important part in human behaviour, or at lest my behaviour anyway.

I trust different people to do differen't things, this is because, to me, trust is something that's born out of observing, or being certain of, certain patterns people perform, one real world example would be the sun raising and setting.

So I trust my Luke, a friend of mine, to be outside in the school garden hitting on nerdy chicks at lunch, while I trust Oscar to be in the library or commons room at lunch.

But not a color photo of my face.
Is that just because so many people ask for one?

I don't trust anyone in the slightest. I won't trust my mum with the password to my computer and she doesn't even know how to turn it on. Nor will I go to sleep unless there is a locked door between me and everyone else.

I've never been able to understand why people trust. It just makes the most logical sense not to. Most people always go on about how trust is apparently so important and a few have tried to explain it to me only to fail.

What is so important about trust and why do people trust others?
