Yeah, that makes sense. It's very true that with big developers, most of their games are shit. It happens with Nntendo, EA, and other developers. Whether or not someone is able to look past the shit and trust them on big-name titles is up to that person.Mimsofthedawg said:snip
This..Warheart said:I trust Bioware, Valve (but not that much), Bethesda and Blizzard. They all make awesome games.
I agree with about everything you said there. We're probably just looking at the term "cutting-edge" in a different way.Mimsofthedawg said:Oh, of course they were between 85 and 98! And as far as the Wii, I understand what you're saying. I think we actually believe the Wii has done the same things for the industry, we just use two different words to define the same thing.Anticitizen_Two said:Yeah, that makes sense. The Wii, as you said, pushes the envelope on what games can do, and I would define that as being cutting-edge (especially because both Microsoft and Sony are rushing to use the same technology), but that's really just your opinion. As long as you recognize that they were definitely cutting edge between 1985 and 1998, I'm fine.
And for the record, Nintendo will forever be my favorite game company. They were my first game love, and something like that never goes away - especially when they continue to push out good games; even if it is only once in a blue moon (in my opinion)
