Hey there fellow Escapists! With me, soon I am to need to find a new show to watch and am thinking to watch some of the highly-acclaimed series of past that I did not see in their original run (much). However, to decide I am wondering out of the following in the poll which one I should watch first (possibly in entirety). So, what are your guys opinions? Any other suggestions are welcomed.

None of those have ever held my interest. I'd go with Firefly, Castle, Bones, NCIS or Burn Notice.

Star Trek. Preferably TNG or Voyager as a starter, maybe moving onto DS9 afterwards. I started with Voyager, then onto DS9, and now watch the Original Series and The Next Generation when I can.

Battlestar Galactica? Always good, especially the newer series.

Scrubs is a good, hospital-based omedy show, and you can find them all on Youtube.

I'd only watch up to the end of Season 8. After pretty much every one of original cast leaves, it's really just trying to flog you a dead horse.

Poll needs more Dexter. *nods* Definitely more Dexter.
I'm up to date with that show, brilliant. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

The Wire is the second best series ever, after Breaking Bad. Obviously you should watch that. It takes a while to get started though, didn't really get into it until season 2.

*sigh* only a matter of time...

OT: Out of that list... The Wire, definitely.

Personal recommendation would be Dollhouse and Millennium. And I agree with whoever mentioned BSG.

Of the ones listed? I say 24.
The idea sounds really lame (how much crap can happen in one hour real time?), but the execution was brilliant, or at least, I thought so.

Other shows: The Walking Dead, Justified, Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, Dexter, and Bones.

Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead... Pretty much any AMC original series.
This. I would go so far as to say Breaking Bad is currently the best written show on Television. Needs more exposure.

The Wire is also excellent. And wait... Six Feet Under? That show has been over for years.

And maybe skip Season 7 too. That wasn't up to the usual standard. Still had the odd good episode but it wasn't helped by the writers strike, or the fact ABC (I think it was ABC, don't live in America and the UK aired them in the order they were aired in America.) aired the shows in the wrong order. :p

And out of the four suggested, my mate won't keep quiet about The West Wing, so try that.

I was too young to watch it when it was first on.

*hangs head*

Anyways, thanks for the suggestions. Shall watch them all eventually.

I liked 24 a lot, but you'll have a lot to watch, even I didn't finish the latest seasons, but most of my family liked it too.
