Twilight inspired 14 year old girls to scream whenever they see a pretty boy with red hair
I'm a pretty boy with strawberry blonde hair and I don't get 14-year-olds screaming at me.
...I believe I said "red" hair.
Jasper and Carlisle weren't as popular as Edward.
Strawberry blonde is pretty-looking red hair, not ginger-esque red hair.
My bad ^^
It's cool. Strawberry blonde is kind of an obscure name for a hair color.

As much as I like Harry Potter, I prefer the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or Ender's Game.

If you read both of them you'll realize you've just wasted a good chunk of your life. But if you must, Twilight has werewolves at least. But no fountain of blood scenes... so unfortunate...

But then again, maybe it's just me...
FYI there's a werewolf in HP as well.

Anyway, I did like the Harry Potter series, but the Inheritance Cycle is the best fantasy books I've ever read.

My long-suffering wife has been keeping me up on her Twilight progress, and I'm underwhelmed. It lacks the broad appeal, engaging universe, and strong characters that made me keep reading HP novels. It's not my cup of tea.

Twilight is a series of books written solely for these teenage girls who are dying for a dream man, and the real truth about it is that there is no guy in the world who can be a freaking Edward Cullen. These books just make it harder for real guys.
That being said, I don't like Harry Potter either.

I like Harry Potter better, but I read the series in my younger, more naive days when I didn't know what a good book was. I would read them again and probably condemn them to my basement but, I would rather believe that children are reading something worthwhile.

As for the Twilight series, I never gave it a fair chance. I read one chapter and thought, "Wait, do I really want to get myself involved in this craze that is sweeping the nation?" Then I put the book down and ran out of B&B, never looking back.

That 'other' is quite vague, but, if you insist... Harry Potter's OKAY.

... Other, damn it, OTHER!

What is the point of this topic, really? Sounds like you're trying to post to raise your rank.
