The problem is that our notions of them are outdated and archaic. Justice is really more about punishing people than changing them, and honor... well, the way it gets implemented in the Middle East should be enough of an example.

People who tell me honour and justice are outdated. Honour is a very useful thing to have. Justice is neccesary...and in fairness, if it is implemented fairly, even the harshest systemof justice is unobjectionable.

Stoning people for adultery: Okay, I can live with that. (Just don't try it with me, or I'll burn your tinpot nation to the ground and sell your attractive women into slavery)

Stoning just women for adultery: Objectionable.
