I don't die in my dreams, jut get put in strange situations. One where I might have died is I was super human and I could jump relly high and a I jumped into a mountain, face first. I woke up when I hit the mountain.
I've had a similar dream. Well, sans the Home Alone guy's cameo. I mean the cause of death. The whole throat-slitting thing.HUBILUB said:Remember that badguy from Home alone? Not Joe Pesci, the other guy. He sliced my throat once.
No. I understand you. And that situation does arise occasionally, but it's sporadic at best; I have no control over when it happens. I do remember once I was driving a Jeep and being chased by a tyrannosaurus (reminiscent of Jurassic Park... but in an urban setting... a ridiculous urban setting... like, with streets twisted around like a Hotwheels track... that was designed by a child on a sugar high) rex.-Orgasmatron- said:You need to practice waking up or editing the dream if you don't wanna die. When I'm about to die, get horribly wounded, or someone I'm friends with is about to die I always pause the dream, as in like a video game pause screen, then I scroll down and click on 'Quit' and I wake up, it's weird how it's always a similar video game pause screen.
I don't actually know how to lucid dream, but whenever I'm about to die in my dreams I get really desperate nad think 'this can't be real' and it never is. Once I get the pause menu up I know I'm dreaming, occasionally at this point I can take stock, realise I have an AK47 in my pocket and resume the dream, but usually I go to quit so quickly that there's no time to properly realise what's going on.
I'm not sure how many of you will get what I'm saying there, might sound a bit crazy. Also, it probaly makes it sound like I spend my whole day playing video games, but I only really play 2 different games and one of them doesn't have a pause menu.![]()
Oh, yeah. I know about that. Usually for me it happens if I'm walking and trip. This is usually the only thing I DO wake to when it happens. My toes catch on something, I start my epic topple toward the tarmac, my face first in the line fire. Just as I'm about to make contact, out my slumber I am torn! Then I spas out. Kind of like the motion of "the worm." Only it's just one undulation, and it's very poorly executed.chromewarriorXIII said:I never die in my dreams but sometimes when I'm about to and I make a sudden movement, I wake up and make the same movement. With the falling dreams I always wake up before I hit the ground, but when I wake up I feel like I was just dropped into my bed.
Exactly the same thing happens to me, it's a weird feeling.chromewarriorXIII said:I never die in my dreams but sometimes when I'm about to and I make a sudden movement, I wake up and make the same movement. You shall be a worthy member of the Escapist. You have no idea how annoying it is to check the gaming discussion list and be bombarded with MW2 threads. This is a nice alternative.J. What an archetypal noob."
