I wholeheartedly agree. This game is just so much fun when you play it for the first time, get to know people and just explore every nook and cranny.

For most games that comes naturally. Give them enough time and I forget most of those pain in the arse puzzles and for good reason cause there are a few games that I'd love to replay if not for that one puzzle.

I would absolutely do it for a game like Braid, Eversion, or Shadow of the Colossus just so that I could experience them again for the first time.

Fallout 3, because that game would be awesome to play again with a greater sense of "freshness". :)

Blade Runner. I loved that game to bits. I'd play it until I got an ending or two, write myself a couple of notes for the really critical stuff (like that one puzzle I just couldn't solve which takes the fun out of it) and then unlearn it and start again.

I would unlearn Final Fantasy 12 and 13, mostly because they were pretty bad and i dont want to remember playing such drabble.

Yes. Pretty much any puzzle game. It annoys me that I can't play the first Professor Layton game anymore because I've completed it and remember the puzzle answers, but I can't sell or trade-in my copy because my mum (very rarely) plays it when she borrows my DS. I tried selling a bunch of PS1 games ages ago and my dad wouldn't let me because of the slight possibility he'd be interested in playing them at some point (this is a man who has never played a game in his life aside from Brain Training on the DS, and only learned how to use a computer about two years ago for work). So unlearning those games would be good because then at least I'd have proper incentive to keep them, right?

I'd unlearn Mass Effect 2 if i can give myself instructions to not play it for too long.

Not that it is any bad or too long/addicting, it's just that i spent so much time on my first run that i pretty much got a perfect ending, wich in this game is very very boring and somewhat anticlimatic.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

I wish I could replay that game without all my gained knowledge. Its not as fun making a new character and already know where every legendary weapon in the game is located.

[Edit]
Or MGS 4

just so I can pretend the serise ended with a good game. (MGS 3)

I'd definitely like to unlearn a game. Hell, I'd unlearn, then sell, Dragon Age Origins.

As for unlearning and replaying a game/series, it would have to be the Guitar Hero series. With that, I could actually learn how to use my pinkie finger. Currently it's impossible for me to use it.

Riven. Just so that I can actually solve the puzzles without consulting a strategy guide. I went through Riven when I was in 4th grade or so with a GameFaqs guide, and all of the puzzle solutions are engraved in my head.

Probably every game that is mainly story-based, but the biggest ones being Portal, World of Warcraft, Eternal Darkness, and System Shock 2.

Games like Mega Man or Hammerfest I would never forget, because all my practice and knowledge of the levels needs to stay with me to get the full enjoyment.
