this is like judging between a dog turd and a cat turd. each have their own unique stink that makes them special. one is a patriotic nutjob who forgot what it means to show restraint in a film and the other is responsible for most video game flop movies. That said, I reckon bay could hit hard if he was pushed, he gets my vote

If I opened an Uwe Boll movie's DVD case and a bunch of flesh eating parasites crawled out and I had to fight for my life before they devoured me, I would have gotten more value then if I had actually sat down and watched one of his movies.

As for Micheal Bay I could say the same but he has actually made a movie that I like (The Rock), but he sure as hell hasn't redeemed himself.

They both deserve some sort of medievel punishment for their films. Maybe a few days in the stocks, or a good ol' Iron Maiden treatment. Uwe Boll is like a hurricane; even though no one likes him, he still comes around every few years to torment us.

As for Micheal Bay, I demand justice! Isn't rape a crime?! Or is it excused if your rape a television franchise (and my youth)? I went opening night to watch The O.C Movie (featuring the Transformers) and was disgusted. You should have as few humans as possible, who usually just end up being captives of the Decepticons, not a lot of them who do everything! And it took nearly 2 hours to get to some good Autobot v. Decepticon rumbling. 2 bloody hours! And I swear, if I ever find the person who wrote "more than meets the eye" as a pick-up line, I will go Vlad the Impaler on him/her!

EDIT: Here are my feelings on the movie, in comic form.

You may as well stop there. This just boils down to opinion, and on the internet, opinions are worth as much as, well, Uwe Boll's films.
Ultimately, Transformers was a good 'Braindead' movie. You could shut off for a while and just enjoy a bunch of robot smash the crap out of each other. If you want depth, a movie about giant alien robots that can transform into cars beating each other up isn't the place to look for it.
I doubt people went in to watch Le Red Viola when they saw Transformers.
That's true, but I did expect to... y'know.... see *Transformers* when I watched Transformers.

Here is a test to would be film producers. If, when you try to hire on a director for a movie that is based on one of the most beloved IPs of the 80's, his first words are, "That's a stupid toy movie," then you need to look into getting a different director.

Very true. I watched a behind-the-scenes feature on the movie, and it scared me. I can't remember if it was Micheal Bay or Steven Spieldberg, but one of them blasphemed hardcore. I should've known it was going to be bad when they said that Transformers was "about a boy buying his first car". No, no, NO! Bad director! BAD!

i agree, once i heard micheal bay say "i don't care about the 80s transformers story line or anything established before, i'm going to do something totally new", my heart sank. i didn't even mind them changing megatron into that new thing he is, i understand the gun is too hard to do and the guy who's voiced him had something happen to his voice. the funny part about the voice of optimus was michael bay didn't know that was the voice of the one from the cartoons in the 80s.

i'm also one of those freaks that LIKED the star wars prequels, i'm also one of the few star wars fans that actually saw the original trilogy on it's original theatrical run, it's actually one of my earliest childhood memories. won't say it's my oldest but it's pretty darn close

it's one thing to change parts of an ip to modernize it but giving it the middle finger and totally ignoring it is just wrong

Transformers was a pile of crap that singlehandedly destroyed on of the prized memories of my childhood. I must admit to never seeing a Uwe Boll film (though Postal might tempt be); but im not sad about that. I hope they beat eachother blind so they cant make movies nemore

Maybe it's because Transformers were after my time so I had no emotional attachment to them, but I thought Bay's "Transformers" was an enjoyable and funny if shallow movie. Comparing that to Boll - if I watched the Director's Cut of "Transformers" with my testicles caught in the platter and rotating for the entire two hours, it would still be more enjoyable than any Boll movie ever made.

And Boll's a trained boxer - he'll massacre Bay unless that worthy has some serious boxing or martial arts training.

Did anyone here see Pearl Harbour? I enjoyed that movie. I also enjoyed Transformers. I've not seen any of Boll's movies, but have heard terrible, terrible things. So I guess I can't make an informed opinion... but as for a completely uninformed one, Bay > Boll.

At least some of Bay's movies are fun to watch, even if they are a bit mindless and gratuitous. But then, there are plenty of other directors who are no better than these two. I think movies by Oliver Stone (the sole exception being the inexplicably good Twin Towers movie he did)are just as "bad" as Boll's for example. As a gamer, I'm a bit embarrased by Boll's game movies. They don't improve our favorite hobby's cred with the non-gaming public much.

Boll would win the fight, if it came to that. He also win's 'Worst Movie Maker' out of the two in my opinion. Bay's film's are fun and enjoyable to watch (To a limited extent, at least)...while Boll just churns out decliningly awful movies.

Why can't we just see the fight. It'll be amusing, like a cock-fight. 'Cept, we can eat roosters... (right?)
