I really did like it. I saw it before I read the comic book. I do like the comic book better but the movie is still good.

I really did enjoy V for Vendetta. One of my favourite movies if not my favourite movie. Though naturally, the book is better then the movie as always.

Yes, V for Vendetta was good. What did you like about it? Have you also read the graphic novel? If so, how do you find the differences? Etc. Your opening post leaves no room for discussion, it doesn't even ask a question.

I seriously thought I'd managed to skip the OP, and see a second post or something. :|

I didn't like it.

I thought its politics were incredibly sophomoric and immature. It didn't have anything important to say about authority and didn't inspire anyone to be critical of their own governments. Since that was really all there was to the movie, there wasn't much left to appreciate.

The music was also louder than the dialogue, which drove me fucking insane.

The thematic move from Thatcher's England to Bush's America doesn't work as well as it could have. I don't know the best way to describe it. The closest thing i could say is that it's so non-pretentiously pretentious, that the enthusiasm makes it hard to dislike.

Valid points, but I do think that there was more to the movie than that. So long as you don't take the admittedly shallow politics too seriously there's a decent action-type movie in there.

This was one of my favorite movies of all time!
Put a little more into a opening post, like a question.

It got a bit too Americanised for me, and the character of V got kind of distorted but I still enjoyed it.

I have heard the graphic novels (was it originally a basic novel?) was much better, as always much of the message was lost in translation but I did quite like it. The story was interesting and the characters were enjoyable.

People nitpick at it a lot, but I thought it was brilliant. It had its flaws like everything. But people seem to expect perfection and complain when they don't get it!

I liked the movie, I liked the comics more and in the words of Alan Moore "It's about facism and anarchy. And neither of those words are mentioned once in the whole movie"
