Oh, I say it a hundred times on the forums, it makes perfect sense, and VALVE has to say it before anyone believes it?

No, I get it. I see what's going on. Screw you all. >=(
Awww, you know we really love you.

OT : Well, I gave up hope and moved to playing TF2 on PC with a 360 controller years ago.

Eh, it wasn't the quote I was looking for but I couldn't find it... I'm sure I remember seeing an interview with him where he said that he thought consoles would die out and everybody would go back to PC gaming. In any case I don't care much what he says. I don't like the guy at all, but valve are a great company.
It's a little silly giving a quote that undermines your point though.

At any rate, updates not coming to the 360 is a shame, but the huge sense of entitlement from 360 owners is really starting to grate. Do you really expect Valve to spend hundreds of thousands for miniscule returns? Valve is still a company, and the periodic free updates for the pc, as well as promotional offers through steam ensued a steady revenue increase and an influx of fans, which kept the community alive.
On 360, you have to deal with conversion, which takes money; promotion to increase sales, which takes even more money; putting up with microsoft's system of charging for updates (and this is very much Microsoft's fault) which would further put people off. After all, many people won't pay for content for a two year old game. The community at this stage is very diminished compared to the Pc, so the end result wouldn't be worth it. There's also the issue of limited ram on 360, which they mentioned in a blog post about a year back, and the game has had big updates 4 or 5 times since then too.

Valve... honestly? Fuck you. I happen to have a pretty old PC that in spite of running Source, can't run TF2, Half Life 2 Ep 2, or Portal. It's a godsend in itself I have it on the 360, because it means I'm able to play them. But pulling this shit on TF2 360 owners when they initially promised us for THREE FUCKING YEARS that all the updates would be heading to the 360.

This bullshit had better'd come to an end like they've said.

We should have a requirement:
Before you blame/flame Valve, address how they would solve the listed problems.

A giant update would be nice but that is like asking a million dollars to fall into my lap so as long as they fix the sky walking I would be satisfied.
Agreed, stopping the sky-walking and glitching would be enough to satisfy; though I certainly wouldn't say no to all of the cool updates.

Well since Valve isn't concerned about giving PC gamers and console owners 2 different experiences in the first place (above and beyond controls, mods ect but the official Valve updates) I don't see why they couldn't give the PC players thier updates and whatnot and gave console owners a 400 or 800 point map pack. Although it is too late now.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but Valve is a business; they're not your friends. They put out this content for free. Why? I don't know. But they're not going to pay out to give you free content.
I like to assume it's because they like their fanbase and want to KEEP that fanbase for years to come, so that they can make more games that people will buy on faith that it will be good. Which isn't really a lot to ask, since I enjoy every one of Valve's games I've ever played...
