As you're probably aware from other topics on these forums or news posts on other sites, Valve have a surprise announcement lined up for this years E3. So what do you want it to be?
Half Life 2: Episode 3- For many, it's already been too long, and any failure to announce this one soon is probably going to piss off a few people. It is theorized that Episode 3 will be Valve's final swansong for the current Source engine, so this one is getting increasingly likely, despite Valve previously stating that there would be no news on Ep 3 for a while.
Left 4 Dead 3- With many boycotters having had to eat their words when it came to the quality and content of Left 4 Dead 2 over its predecessor, Valve might just be feeling cocky enough to get this one out soon. Whilst numbers are still strong, Valve might be looking to reinforce their online multiplayer base with a new entry, due to the fact that whilst great, the campaigns can get repetitive over the course of a year when compared to simple maps of Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike, and many L4D fans will be wanting more before the year is out, or its userbase may well dwindle like that of L4D 1.
Left 4 Dead 1 or 2 Content- A month after The Passing was released, Valve had loosely announced a corresponding DLC for Left 4 Dead, probably featuring the death of Bill. Whilst relatively small news when compared to Portal 2, its still a possibility. Alternatively, there may also be news of further Left 4 Dead 2 content, though there is little to indicate this.
Sequel to something else- Team Fortress 3, Day of Defeat 3, Counter-Strike 3, you name it. This is more likely to occur on a new engine however, which bring me to...
New Game Engine- Would probably include the announcement of one of the above. Not too likely however, as Episode 3 ought to be released prior to this. Garrys Mod fans will want blood otherwise.
Something else- New IP altogether, or a handheld game. Who knows?
