Well with the last episode of True Blood over it is time for a Vampire Battle Royal.

Rules: Only Vamps from live action material can be used, TV or Movies. They can be based off of other materiel.
No Vamps from books, cartoons/anime or games.

Give reason?s/examples why your Vamp team is the better team.

To start off and because I have to get back to work this will be a bit short.
The vamps I can think off the top of my head are:

True Blood show vamps - 1
Buffy/Angel the TV show vamps - 3
The Twilight vamps - DQ'd due to OP
The Ann Rice vamps from the movies - 0
The Lost Boys vamps - 0
The Blade vamps - 3
The Daybreakers vamps - 0
Dracula: dead and loving it - 1
Underworld vamps - 1
Blood Angel movie (Not sure if this is the one mentioned by thaluikhain) - 1
Kindred: The Embraced vamps - 0
Van Helsing: Dracula - 1
30 Days of Night vamps - 1

I need one more team and I can replace ones if needed/possible.

I pick the vamps from Buffy the TV show to beat all my reasoning is that Universe needed someone as strong as a Slayer to control the vamps. Without her they would be close to world domination. As seen in ?The Wish? when in the alternate reality Buffy did not stop the Master and he was going to turn the humans in to cattle and bottling their blood.

Blade. They don't not use guns and explosives for no reason.

Buffy mostly uses a pointed stick. If the vampires (in the US, mind) generally had firearms, they could kill her long before they got into pointy stick range.

Although the Twilight franchise is utterly terrible, among the reasons why this is so is the fact that the vampires are just ridiculously OP and there's no apparent downside to being one. They can't be killed with a stake through the heart, and a human couldn't even do that, because apparently bullets bounce off their skin. You have to rip one apart and set it on fire, which you can only do if you're also a super-strong vampire.

I don't know what the rules are for vampires in many of the other, better series, but probably a lot of them can't go outside during the day? So a Twilight vampire could just run laps around the country (because bullshit OP super-speed), breaking into every one of their houses and killing them in whatever manner is appropriate.

IIRC, they did made a TV show about them some years back, but it wasn't well regarded and disappeared.

there was tv show inspired by vampire the masquerade but it wasn't that successful and apparently not it wasn't that great. But yeah i agree it would be awesome. and there was mmo from ccp but it was canceled

I think....they might can win this battle.
If I remember right in the movies they have a female vampire who can predict the future.
But then again Twilight is from a book, so it must NOT be here.
Also Blade is base to a Comic from Marvel. Also out.
Ann Rice vamps were also books. Out.....
Also you forgot the vamps from the Underworld. I think having a winged giant humanoid bat is enough OP for me.

And even if the other vampires somehow manage to get the drop on them, the Twilight vamps have someone who can actually control their emotions.

Yeah, Stephanie Meyers vampires are so super powered they totally break this game, I call for a DQ for the Twilight guys.

Yeah, anime and book vampires could slaughter the Twilight vampires, but limiting it to only live action puts the Twilight vamps at either the top or near enough to the top to not matter.

Live action wise, the only vampires I can think of that could take on a Twilight vampire are the high end leaders or villains from things like the Underworld and Blade movies.

Which, given the setting, makes them the exception rather than the rule, they are the most powerful vampires in their setting, but the baseline normal vampire tends to be much weaker. The Twilight vampires are pretty much all super powerful even at their weakest, with a lot of other settings the only vampires that are really powerful are a few named characters, with Twilight, all the vampires are basically super hard to kill, and explicitly stated to have their own individual unique superpowers.

So, out of that list at least, the twilight vampires are probably the strongest as a whole, whilst individual super vampires in the other settings may be able to take a Twilight vamp one on one, the baseline normal vampire in Twilight is just stupidly powerful with pretty much none of the traditional vampire weaknesses.

In regards to Twilight vampires being too powerful, that's not a fair criticism. Meyers didn't write them to compete against other people's vampire's or anything, and them being very different from traditional vampires isn't a bad thing.

The bad things are separate to this, and much worse.

Kindred: the Embraced [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115232/] - ran for a single season then one of the lead actors (the Prince of the city) passed away, so they canned it. It was OK - not phenomenal but about OK levels. The Nosferatu were...odd, though

I think that the vampires in Daybreakers would be either somewhere in the middle or at the bottom of the totem pole. Reason why is that, if we're going by how they are in the current setting of their respective works, then a blood starved vampire would be easy to beat.

In Daybreakers, the entire world's population, from the elderly to the kids, have been turned into vampires. As with any large group of people there are certain things that they absolutely need in order to survive, like food. This is where the problem is, in the movie, it is stated that their blood banks are running dry. Their vamp citizenry are slowly starving, and the ones who go without blood long enough devolve into a more nightmarish form with wings and will start to feed off of other vampires. While this makes them far more deadlier, compared to some of the other vampires on this list, unless there was a good number of them, they would die.

You know, it wasn't a great movie by any stretch, but I might have to give it to Dracula from Van Helsing. Why that Dracula, you ask? Because none of the other contenders could beat him. That incarnation could only be killed by a werewolf...and they have a pretty small window of opportunity, considering that werewolves fell under his thrall after their first full moon.
