Poll: Vanguard or Infiltrator? Mass Effect Series Run

I always go soldier in ME1, simply because the powers are average as fuck. 2 onwards, Vanguard all the way. Nothing better than that Charge attack. Pure battlefield glory to shoot an enemy, then fly across the entire map and smash them right in the face.

I'm doing a Vanguard run, just to try something somewhat different. Sentinel is and always will be my one true love.

I picked Vanguard. While Infiltrator trumps it in the first game, If you have the sniper rifle achievement already you can make the sniping your bonus skill and have it for the first game. In the second one you can acquire a sniper midway through, and in the third you have free weapon selection. Secondly, over the course of the three games, the class gets much better, which is a much better feeling of Shepard gaining experience than a class hat gets less powerful. Alternatively, you could go Soldier, Sentinel, then Vanguard through the 3 games to be the best in each. Finally, Vanguard is my personal favorite.

Inflitrator, because it makes insanity laughably easy. Plus:

HK-47 - Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope... Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds.

HK-47 is never wrong. Trust in the HK-47.

Play as a Vanguard with a sniper rifle - problem solved! It's possible in ME3.

Vanguard is my favourite class and I love the shotgun and sniper rifle equally.

This. I knocked great craic out of repeatedly sniping enemies long range, when they got to mid range I charged them and kept blasting them in the face with my shotgun.

Much happy times were had.


I also played ME1 with Vanguard and had no real issues with it.

Pick a Soldier in ME1, it's the only class that is even an option. For ME2 and 3 I'd go Vanguard, that class is a ton of fun and ME never does get sniping right.
