Poll: Vault Boy bobblehead, do you like the design?

Two things, first: I wasn't sure if this should go in off-topic or gaming discussion, so I put it in Gaming.
Second, I know that this could be perceived as a pointless thread, please don't kill me.

I've been really excited for Fallout 3 ever since I found out about it, the first two games were recommended to me, my mom's boyfriend loaned me Fallout 2, it was a great game, not incredible, I think I'll like number 3 better, but the thing that stood out about Fallout the most to me was Pip Boy, they have all these funny pictures of him doing different things, and I started to want more, then I found out that if you pre-order Fallout 3 from Gamestop you get a Pip-boy bobble head and a few other things. I told one of my friends and he said he hated Pip-boy.
So I was just wondering what The Escapist community thinks of Pip-Boy.

personaly, I think he brings some light-hearted humor to an other wise dark and depressing world (though thats not without is own brand of dark comedy).

Vault Boy is kind of essential to Fallout's mood. He fits the 50's feel, works great in the menus, and his constant cheerful-optimist-smile is perfect for Fallout's dark style of humor.

Sorry, I meant Vault boy, and I was wondering about that while I was writing the opening paragraph, but if I'm not mistaken Vault boy is the mascot for pretty much everything in Fallout , including the Pipboy

How on earth could you possibly know that? Have you played Fallout 3 yet, or are you just making assumptions because you have disliked a previous Bethesda title?

Anyway, back on topic. I agree with previous posters regarding Vault Boy/Pip Boy. He's a cheerful anachronism that captures the essence of the Cold War era vibe that the Fallout franchise is steeped in.

But yeah, Vault Boy rocks. I'm getting the collector's edition of Fallout 3 primarily for the bobblehead. I've even thought of getting a tattoo of him.

As there focus is only combat and not story,Also game development these days do not have the same amount of freedom early CRPGS had when Fallout 1 and 2 came out. Why when you could kill children in Fallout it wasn't as big as if Bethesda would to include it in todays market.

Also tell me of one game of Bethesda that ever was focused on comedy and humor and satire from Monty Python skits or westerns or pop culture.That's why I have little faith in the comedy value of Fallout 3.But still glad there is at least a new Fallout just fearful of the change it will be to the others.


Also I am glad they will have Vault Boy and Dogmeat unlike brotherhood of steel. Vault Boy is kind of like the image of Fallout so I think he is needed.
