okay, so weed might not be bad for you. or at least that bad, but intoxicated also covers alcohol use which is harmful to braincells, and other, more serious drugs, that simply damage everything. Like meth!Eggsnham said:There's been no conclusive proof that weed kills brain cells. I think the official theory is that weed makes your brain cells inactive for the few hours that you're high. The studies done in the 70's that suggested that weed was bad for you, were conducted very poorly on rhesus monkeys. The experiment almost looked like they were trying to harm the monkeys. Basically what they did was strap a mask attached to a gas tank filled with Marijuana smoke onto the monkeys' faces everyday for fifteen minutes for a year. Forcing an animal to breath nothing but smoke for fifteen minutes straight everyday for 365 day is going to cause damage. To your lungs, your heart, your brain, pretty much anything.
Because everybody does meth, heroin and opiates! But yes, those drugs and Alcohol can cause serious damage. And while I don't condone the use of addictive opiates such as meth, alcohol can be enjoyed in moderation, instead of getting "fall off the face of Earth" drunk every weekend, why not just get "I can totally fly!" drunk every weekend? But seriously. Alcohol can be enjoyed responsibly.Latinidiot said:okay, so weed might not be bad for you. or at least that bad, but intoxicated also covers alcohol use which is harmful to braincells, and other, more serious drugs, that simply damage everything. I'm pretty sure you can't actually do enough damage in terms of killing brain cells through alcohol to harm you in any noticeable way. I don't have the actual numbers in front of me, but when I was taking Nerobio my teacher showed us some statistic that was like you kill a hundred or so brain cells every time you drink and he did the math of total brain cells and how much you would have to drink to cause minimal amounts of quantifiable damage. The result was something along the lines of you had to drink constantly for like 40 or so years. By then you'd probably kill the rest of your organs before you hurt your brain.Latinidiot said:okay, so weed might not be bad for you. or at least that bad, but intoxicated also covers alcohol use which is harmful to braincells, and other, more serious drugs, that simply damage everything. agreed, I like my drink every once in a while. I don't care that it damages my brain. it does a little, but everything damages you to some degree, so I've decided not to give a shit.Eggsnham said:Because everybody does meth, heroin and opiates! Exactly, everything has some sort of risk associated with it nowadays, whether or not it's truly there. But ultimately it's up to you, the consumer, to decide what's best for you.Latinidiot said:agreed, I like my drink every once in a while. nooo don't stay in the shade forever, it will give you vitamine-whatever shortage
don't drink cola, it'll give you a heartattack
don't drink cola light, it'll give you another type of cancer!'
I ♥ Oblivion! Have you ever played Morrowind or Arena? I personally don't like Daggerfall though.Furburt said:I do indeed, Oblivion is very fun while (legally) stoned.
