I have a very mixed opinion about Movie Bob. I've watched enough reveiws to know that one can't simply dismiss him as another idiot with a microphone and enoguh time to put together a crappy web review. If he was, he would never get a slot on the Escapist. He actually puts effort into his reveiws. He does research, and clearly knows a lot about the movie industry. Enough to see that he could be trusted as a credible source.brainless_fps_player said:

Usually I get this feeling whenever he talks about some topic he has a personal connection to, such as his nostalgia for his favorite childhood memories. Or his burning hatred for certain aspects of modern culture. So whenever he has to do a review that involves any of these things, he just turns into another rabid fanboy. A really annoying one to, since he is usually addresses the opposition by insulting them.
I don't want to say he's terrible, since I have enjoyed some of his reveiws even when I didn't agree with him. But in other reveiws I can't stand to listen to him, even when I am agreeing with him on some things. He'd be better off just shutting up about these things. I couldn't even sit through his Game Overthinker about Metroid: Other M because of his incredible bias.
EDIT: Wow, I can't believe the Escapist gave him a show to do exactly what I hate about him.
