Pick Your Poison!

I myself really haven't settled into a specific one just yet. I started with a 2 Hander, but was just getting wrecked by Shields. The Recovery time after whacking the shield is a bit long.
Next i Tired archery, Which seemed to be working, except in tight spaces. I was hopping around like a 5 year old after eating the ENTIRE bag of Halloween candy, to Avoid getting hit. (playing on the Hardest Setting, starts to get old when your being almost instagibbed by anything that isn't a wolf (DAMN YOU SPRIGGANS!!!!!).
So.. What weapons are you leaning Towards.

Sword and shield has always been my choice in Morrowind and Oblivion, so I'm most likely to keep the trend. Magic does look very intresting however. Will definetly make a spell caster later on.

I use archery for long range, especially against dragons, and spell casting for when it gets too short to use a bow.

Archery (Since it works like it should now) with a sword and board backup. Flame magic for mid range.

Oddly enough I've been giving bounded weapons a shot this go around. I picked a Breton as my class and so decided use the race's natural affinity for conjuration (it started at lvl25) to good use. I'm level 6 and can summon a single handed sword that deals as much damage as a comparable 2-handed battleaxe. For now it works, only time will tell if they remain viable as I progress in levels.

SWORDS IN THEIR HANDS THEY KILLED EACH AND EVERY MAN WHO DARED TO INVADE THEIR SACRED LAND!
VICTORY SONGS ARE RISING IN THE NIGHT TELLING ALL OF THEIR UNDYING STRENGTH AND MIGHT!

I proudly march and sneak with either the sword sword combo with use of bows for plucking off enemies and fire+healing on and off if the enemies need that hit. Or I fight Sword/Axe + destruction spell.

This all goes out of event though when I'm Dolf The Wolf

Mostly sword and shield, with a little magic sprinkled in. Every now and then, though, I enjoy wolfing it up.

Flame atronach in one hand and flamethrower in the other, ensuring I have a powerful meat shield that I can't accidentally hurt.

I'm just dual wielding flamethrowers right now. Switching to ice and lightning throwers if the situation calls for it.

It's important to stick with your race affinity at first. I kicked arse with my Thief/Archer Bosmar with its awesome sneaky attacks.
