Yeah, essentially the title.

I'm just used to WASD, so... yeah.

What, you want CONTEXT? Well... TOO BAD! MWAHAAHAHAHAHAAHA!

What about ESDF?

I use the arrow keys normally, and WASD for anything that has a hotbar that is longer than 6.

Speaking of context, it depends on which game I'm playing. If I'm playing an older FPS, like say Doom or Star Wars: Dark Forces, I always go with the arrow keys, since that's how the games were set up, and I have nostalgia for their old controls.

Newer games I'll use WASD, since I have a mouse to control as well.

depends how close to other keys are. in minecraft, I've gotten used to the inventory and such being so close, so I keep the adsw. However, if I have a keyboard with a number pad close by, I'll use the arrow functions and set basic controls to the other five numbers, with 5 ususally being something like nuke the fucker or some other OPd bullshit last ditch attack.

And of course I always act like Im flipping up a lid and hit the key hard with my middle finger like Im actually laucnhing a nuke.

ESDF? Eh, I've never seen it done, but it feels sort of awkward, just trying it out.

WASD.
Other hotkeys are closer, and plus, arrows keys puts my left hand too close to the mouse.

for movement, arrow keys but with the game i play i use WASD for attacks and stuff but that could be because the button to do the secondary attacks is right next to them so i can hold that down and press WASD with the same hand.

WASD for me. They really need to start making keyboards where you can change those letters though. Mine are practically erased.

I use arrow keys.. but that makes me feel sort of um.. 'noobish' in a sense, but I do much better with it. Probably because of how I am use to playing most PC games, where the keys back then were based on the arrow keys, and clicking your mouse a lot (haha).
Why does it make you feel "noobish?"

WASD has pretty decent positioning for any game where you need to use a few extra controls. You can hit Shift,Tab,CTRL,c,r,f,q,g,t, etc. For that reason I use WASD.(Also, using a mouse and arrow keys would be completely retarded.

not really, it's just WASD, but with an extra key to your left

now, AZERTY on the other hand

get it?
because it has nothing to do with WASD in this context?

WASD of course, you'd crazy not to. Just a waste of keys to use the arrows when things like reload (R), use (E), flashlight (F), talk (T), scoreboard (TAB), granades (G), lie down (Z) NVG's (V), weapon selection (1-9), jump (spacebar), and map (M) are all so easy to get to.

WASD so that I can reach the E, U, G, F and Spacebar easily. I used to use the arrow keys when I was small because I couldn't comfortably reach both WASD and the mouse without leaning right close.
