I agree with your opinions about the lack of weapons. It's a shame.
I don't agree with you saying the Directer AI was not doing what it was supposed to. It was programmed to be random. It creates tension and makes you listen for the slightest hint of enemies. Hearing the cry of a Witch (a female... thing with large claws that will not attack unless startled and will knock you down in a single hit) makes everyone paranoid and it doesn't care if you're almost dead. Don't hate random.
Also, zombies take FOREVER to fall down. I shot one in the chest with a pistol 4 times and it stumbled in a circle before it fell down.
I would still give it a 91 though.
