Something my old store manager told me before I went off to college:

"Now then, there's three important things that are essential to college life: Sleep, Social life, Grades. Pick 2, and welcome to college."

So, for all you college kids out there (or if you have passed that milestone already of course), what two did you pick? :p

I think I alternate...but sleep definitely takes the bigger hit. Not that I mind, I hardly ever sleep anyways.

You're allowed to have two?!

...I guess sleep and grades by default, but I think it was more laziness and grades, in my case.

I picked sleep and grades. I didn't have much of a social life to begin with, so I did not have any problems giving that up.

It was grades and social life, but it slowly seems to be sliding towards sleep and social life.

Now the insomnia's coming back, sleep can be replaced with grades again

Grades and Social Life.

If you miss either, life is not worth living (just kidding boys). Then again sleep is important but I'd rather choose the two.

I worked full time when I went to college. I wasn't really even allowed one of the three.

I went with grades and sleep. Having a social life in college is kind of a crappy idea. Either you lose touch with your friends after graduation, or they destroy either your experience or GPA while you're there.

I alternate with the days. On the weekdays I choose Grades and Social Life. Weekends I choose Sleep and Grades, with my social life turning to whenever I randomly meet up with people completing grades.

I bounce back and forth between sleep and social life, and sleep and grades, though recently it's definitely been more sleep/grades for me. :\

Sleep, grades. I'm here to learn, dammit, not try to expand my pitiful social life to artists and computer engineers.

considering "social life" at uni seems to consist of getting as drunk as possible at every available opertunity, i have decided my interaction with the social side of uni will be limited at best, so sleep and grades

I wanted to go with grades and sleep, but my profs and part-time job are in cahoots to eliminate my second choice.

Grades and Social Life. Your only young once so why not make the best of it? You'll pick up sleep here and there so it'll even out mostly

What a silly question. you can easily do all 3, and can easily incorperate other factors such as gaming, reading and pokemon into collage life. ( I don?t count pokemon as a game anymore, more of a obsessive compulsion)

Unless you take fine art, alternate medicine or some other Muppet course at uni, you and others on your course must be to some degree not thick. Therefore not is doesn?t have to be based around parties and the pub, which in my town, IS what socialising consists of. Uni offers a wider range of like minded individuals to befriend. Social life at uni also incorperates intelligent discussions, sporting activities, gaming and well yeah clubbing. Still, I think uni offers the best social period of your life so long answer, social and grades.

Exactly. If you have a brain and a calender, you can get good grades, sleep, and have friends.

I picked sleep and grades. I got alot of sleep and excellent grades, but I also never went to a single party or got myself into a relationship during my time in University. But, to be honest, I am not sad about what I missed out on. That stuff isn't quite for me anyway.
