only if it was the only way to keep myself from dying. No, I would not like to sign up to be eaten. Ever hear of Locked In Syndrome? Yeah. That would suck.

Mmmmmm strange meat gaaahhhh

urrmm anyway no. No I will not eat stange meat and ham, just for the simple reason as to it just seems wrong, also I wouldn't let my body be eaten, unlrdd it was for the greater good, otherwise leave my body alone for the zombie uprising.

Considering the average mortality rate of people in the developed World is in the 70-80, most of the human meat on the market would be extremely old, sinewy and poor quality. For this reason, I think it is a bad idea to sign up to such a scheme. Children would taste far better than grandmas and grandpas though (just a modest proposal).

No and no.

Cannibalism is way creepy. I read about a disease a cannibalistic group somewhere (I'm sketchy on the details because it's been a while) is susceptible to that causes them to develop a permanent form of insomnia. They eventually just lose their mind and die because they can't take care of themselves.

I don't think I'd eat humans, but I realize that a large part of that is social conditioning telling me that cannibalism is gross. If I had grown up in a society that treated cannibalsim as something normal, I might think differently about it.

I have no trouble with being eaten after my death though. Whatever will be left after I die wouldn't be me anymore, and no more or less 'sacred' than any other lifeless object.

As a vegetarian- no. I would not eat people.

I would sign up to be food when dead though- after my vital organs had been harvested for medicine of course. Even in death it would be ideal for my body to be as useful as possible to society.

Situation like: no food or rescue soon available and somebody I know trips and falls, hitting his/her head on a rock and thus dying -> so for survival, clean death (no disease or infection etc.), not killing for food on purpose (this would depend on personality I guess, I'm flexible about that :p ) -> eating, I would go with leg or arm first though, you can always blame it on animal that way.

On practical side, I think that humans do taste awful (or at least less tasty than pork, fish etc.), I know burning human meat smells bad.

Oh, and slained foe -> fair game on that.

I would try it, at least, but I don't think it's the healthiest lifestyle. Human meat is probably the most corrupted with drugs and other unhealthy stuff. The only way I can see to get around it is to breed and farm humans. Kind of like that shitty movie, The Island. That would also take care of any emotional difficulties. Although that might be a little too cannibalistic....

And if it were on the menu... mmmmmm, cheeks... such a delicacy.

I guess I would eat people who had signed up for it. I would try to avoid any human meat that might have been er... harvested unconsenually.
Of course if the human meat doesn't taste good or has some sort of negative side effects then I would avoid eating it just like any other bad-tasting/harmful meat.
I would sign up to be harvested upon death. It's the ultimate form of recycling, YEAH! :)

I can't imagine it becoming a real business though. Most people who have a choice (i.e. live in the developed world) would probably die of old age or disease and so I figure they aren't gonna taste as good. People killed violently, which would probably be the main source for prime human meat, would have to be cleaned up regularly after death before they are food-worthy. Plus what about all the skinny or really fat people. I don't imagine them being popular as potental food. Since we aren't growing people to specifically be eaten (which I would be against even if they're clones) most humans wouldn't be that ideal cut of good ol' man-steak.

I wouldn't eat a person, but would sign up to be eaten when dead. I'm not going to be using my body so might as well get some more use out of it after all my organs have been harvested.

I'd like to try some human flesh now, so if it was legal, I would be one of the first.

Whether I'd continue eating it would depend on if I liked the taste. I've liked all meats I've tried so far, so I'm assuming I'd like human.

Well if it was a part of traditional death rituals, like a wake, we would all do it because that is what is done. I can't see human ever being on a menu like beef since we do set ourselves apart from livestock as a group... unless we get to the point where the elite have created such a fast gulf between the common folk and them that they no longer view themselves as humans like us... much like has been happening periodically throughout history... and is happening now so don't act surprised when you find out Bill Gates loves a bit of cannibalistic cuisine.

It is hard to get out of the mindset that "cannibalism is disgusting and wrong." So trying to keep an open mind I would say that I would at least give it a try. I mean cannibalism occurs amongst other animals in the wild, so I suppose if it was done right (not sure what that means exactly) I can see me eating human. Imagine human veal though... (I don't know why but that makes me giggle a little bit).
