And Americans wonder why they aren't very popular?

A strange thing is that where I went to school, it was mostly Muslims who bullied others... With the teachers being afraid to say anything out of fear of being labeled as a racist :p

I was bullied through grade-school. Mostly it was because of my long hair, weight and general misplacement in the school society. It stopped around grade five, when I discovered the sacred combination of fire and lockers.

Sometimes. In elementary school, 1-6, I was always the weird kid. I was in Switzerland for 2 years before entering grade 1 so every kid knew each other from kindergarten. I also didn't speak English very well, although you'd never know it now. I was hardcore studious and shy. I used to read all the time. And then in grade 3, Harry Potter and N64 happened, so I became even more nerdy. I had one good friend for most of that time. The main, kid-jock group used to make fun of me a few times but most kids got along back then.

Junior High, I went to a school where a third of the students were East Indian. In the first year I was constantly teased for being a "dumb fucking white boy" and sometimes threatened but it never went beyond that. Eventually, I somehow made friends with some of them and started hanging out with them a bit. But a few of them were still total douches so that didn't last long.

In High School, people tried to bully me but I just laughed it off usually. In my first year there, I didn't have a solid group of friends and most of them left after, too. But in my last two years, I had a group and things were ok. There's still dumbasses all the time that think they're better than me for reasons I doubt they even know. Maybe it's because I come off as a bit "weird". I could care less. I'm in University now where bullying is almost nonexistent. Now its more girls being bitchy or random people coming up and being idiots around me. I just fire right back at them, though. Give me a fake grin? I'll give it right back and piss you off some. If you want to hate me without a reason, I'll give you one.

Yes sometimes but i tend to bite them back and then they usually leave me alone.

There is the possibility that i myself am a bully without knowing it, i hope not though.

Well on my school bus there were some older kids who were from my neighborhood that sort made fun of me a bit. I was a bit of a weird little (compared to them) kid back then and they weren't really people that I would hold in high regard. Once the older ones graduated high school (I was in middle school at the time then got into high school) the rest just sort of stopped. I didn't have it that bad, but it wasn't very pleasant while it was happening.

There were some seniors during my sophomore year that I had study hall with who would call the youth group that I went to a cult. It was actually just a bit of fun (somewhat careless fun, but still just fun). We would go back and forth on whether it was a cult or not for a bit and they never really gave me that much trouble. I actually say one of them several years later at his job and we had a bit of a laugh over it.

Thankfully my school wasn't that full of bullies so despite the fact that even as a senior I was that odd kid who played video and tabletop games, read alot even during class, fell asleep in certain classes, didn't talk that much to others, and seemed to always know alot for the class, I was never really bothered with. The kids in my school were for the most part pretty accepting or at least didn't really pick on people.

Yeah. For... a while when it was littler... i never "fought back" or anything, I'm not like that...
It pretty much socially fucked me up alot... bullying really isn't cool...

But now i'm not at all... which is kinda funny considering the way i dress/act.... but then again i'm not a kid anymore so i guess bullying doesn't really happen at my age...

In Kindergarten, a kid bullied and eventually put a staple through my index finger, intentionally. Since then, never had a problem with it. Been taller than just about all my other classmates when I went through public schools- never got a hard time from anyone.

There was the occasional asshole who would call me gay (for no reason) or try to pick a fight with me 'cos I was taller, but I ignored them all, most of them went on into lovely lives of meth addiction, I found out later.

Bullying really didn't happen to anyone I knew in school as I got older. I know it happened, but I never really saw it- and what I did see was mostly from girls against other girls

Very... very... very... rarely. People, for reasons beyond me, seemed to have great respect for me in primary school, even though I was shorter than almost everyone for most of it and a shy guy with good grades. People would often ask me if I was ever bullied because they thought that I would be an easy target and were overly curious, but no. Oddness.

Now in high school I can understand though why not really, I'm tall, I don't give a stuff about what people think/ say to an almost worrying degree, I have a blackbelt, my best friend is a big guy, I think the second or so biggest in a grade of 300 people, and I can socialise with people outside my group if I feel like it.

So no, actually. Oddness...
...it may have something to do with the black belt...

OP:light verbal I just shrug it of but it really bugs me if it comes to blows should be able to win haven't got in a fight since yr 5 but I'm quite smart and not very sociable but I know some vicious moves to take people down.

For being from London, and having a different accent. Tore me apart, made me awkward around people, and I can't take a compliment because I constantly think I am being patronised, and that people only pretend to like me because they are nice people. I was also (and still are, but less so) unfit, and had no interest in football. It wasn't even a small thing, the bullying, the entire class didn't like me. Then again, I was a snivelling rat of a boy, and a least it made me decide what I wanted to do with my life. Be good to people.

With my last name as Wensley, I was ripe picking for cheese-related humour that wasn't funny.

High school was better, as I was moved to some of the better classes, being relatively smart. I thne bullied a couple people. Not myself, but encouraging the guy doing it because if he was hitting them he wasn't hitting me. Even the victims probably didn't think about it as buillying, but when you pick on someone for being socially awkward, then you are a bully.
Sorry Robin, Sorry Sam.

This one kid from my church still constantly calls me out on my chosen profession, IT technician. He's the elders youngest son, so he is spoiled beyond belief. He says that anyone can do what I do, and that getting a qualification in it is pointless beyond GCSE. He ignores my questions as to whether he knows how to install a server. he says you put the disk that says Hardware in the machine and click install. Not bullying per se, but I'm going to ask him to stop when I get the chance.

Was never bullied.I was selling sandwiches to my colleagues for some quick cash.

Also I never was/witnessed a fight,since I finished Musical/Art Highschool and fighting was "forbidden".

There were a few guys throughout school that were the type that just wanted to get under people's skin since they had nothing better to do. The best was when one of them just wouldn't let enough be enough, so in front of the whole class in my Stage Voice I reminded him of the time his older brother walked in on him having sex with his teddy bear. He didn't know I was friends with his neighbor, who knows all kinds of great info on the prick.

I've always had a bad stutter, and been extremely skinny, which everyone would constantly make fun of right up until high school. Though nothing horrible.

I was a bit, but thanks to a tough family life I developed a thick skin and eventually gained a strong work ethic, moved out at 18 got a full time job and haven't looked back since. I've seen a few old classmates that used to give me a hard time and they're not doing so hot and a few have even apologized to me. But I guess when you spend more time ignoring others and focusing on the betterment of yourself you tend to be more or less situationally better than those who focused on slacking off and being the tough guy in school.

I was bullied in grade-school and high-school. Though it always seemed to come from upper classmen and never from kids in my grade. I don't know why older kids always seemed to have a problem with me. Though I was a pretty cocky kid back then...
